I think Nyck wasn't bad for a rookie. Unfortunately, he entered F1 a bit too late and wrong to the wrong team. He is 2 years older than Max so his runaway was limited which is why I think he took the risk with the RB seat instead of the Williams to get a chance in the senior team. In hindsight, it was a very bad move because RB had multiple drivers in the lineup so he had to perform immediately. I think if he were at Williams he would be given more to get up to speed like other rookies instead of just half a season and likely could have performed better. Also, RB was the worst car on the grid for the first half year.

I think it is too early to judge how Lawson will go next year. If he is slower than Yuki in these next six races he may not be on the grid next year and we might see Hadjar replacing him. If he is faster than Yuki, he may end up alongside Max next year which will make it harder for him to look good unless Max loses his motivation and stops pushing himself. I think Doohan will surprise a lot of people though. It might take him a while to settle in but I think he will turn out to be faster than Gasly. Bearman will struggle. Not because he isn't good enough, but because he has the worst possible team mate. There may be a lot of Haas on Haas crashes next year.

It's good we're getting more rookies but to be honest I do feel like there's some talents that deserve it more. Like so far the highest placed rookie to be promoted from the current F2 grid is Antonelli in 6th*. And I get the drivers mostly get promoted due to connections and how prepared they are but it does suck that guys like Hadjar and Bortoleto may have to wait a year and 3rd placed Maloney is off to Formula E instead - not even being considered for F1. Then theres someone like Pourchaire who had an identical trajectory as Bearman but only main difference was he was in the wrong academy at the wrong time. F1 at the moment doesn't necessarily feel like it's the most talented kids getting an opportunity but the ones that have the right connections and can pay for the most private tests to be the most prepared.

Liked and Subbed. Great video and I am so glad you took the car into account with you rankings. Lawson knows pressure the red bull way and is adaptable. Most of the Super Formula tracks he had never driven. If his team mate hadn't of run him off the track at Motegi or the finale races had of gone full length in SF he would have won. Should have won DTM and he dominated Alex Albon as his team mate also. He knows he has to help outscore Haas and try and beat yuki or at least be close.

I'm have yet to be infected by the Bearman hype... in Formula 2 his teammates Vesti and Antonelli have left him in the dust. In Jeddah he did bring home the second fastest car on the grid in P7 which is respectable but not exactly spectacular. and when we're talking about his Haas debut, we shouldn't forget that he was even quicker to smash his car into the barriers than Nikita Mazepin. It's going to be tough for Antonelli, even if Mercedes will come back strong next season. Thanks to the relentless efforts of hashtag blessed (who is set to bless our beloved team next year) and his cult, the team is now seen by many as the second coming of the Third Reich and the British meejah will have a field day with even the tiniest mistakes by Antonelli (Sky F1 gloatingly replayed his shunt in Monza about a thousand times while Bearman's trip into the barriers in Baku apparently never happened). Welcome to the world of Brit bias, kiddo. Lawson won't be a rookie next year... IF he will get a drive for 2025, that is. He has already shown that he has what it takes. But, while his debut stint last year was one of the most impressive ones in a long time, he did commit a cardinal sin in Singapore last year. Fighting Max Verstappen for position, as ballsy as it was, holding him up for two laps and in doing so most likely saving Leclerc's sorry behind in P4, surely didn't go down well with the powers that be. A blatant violation of rule #1 for any RB junior team driver: you see navy blue in your mirror you better dematerialize ASAP.
