IF announcers had no idea as to the volume of injured Flyers, and were looking for GMs head for lack of effort, then I would say it would be a fair assumption in that the fans had no idea just how badly injured the team was without key components. How bout the NHL go Green Bay Packers in 80's and have the potential Halifax franchise split some home games at a new Hartford Civic Center as the new New England Whalers and get to keep the HW logo!. Heck The NFL Patriots were set to play in Hartford but bad soil kept team in Foxboro.

See I kind of agree with u on that one. Or at least give it a go for a five or so years considering it was Melnyk's wish in his will for the girls (his granddaughters i believe?) to have the team. I think just purely out of respect for the dead the NHL and the girls should give it a try and if it doesn't work then sell the team. I know the NHL is a business so they'll never do that but still.
