No good laying a big bed lay enough for 5/6 bricks and always pick up a brick before a trowel of muck .I'm 60 now mate I've seen them all over 45 years No pick and dip lay them old school neat and fast with pride you know what I mean as your dad probably taught you I'm going to be there on that day be a pleasure to say hello if your there good luck to you mate

I think brick type and mortar plays apart on how many bricks you can lay the mortar out for. The lads in my video were all using a very similar brick, quite small and take a good amount of muck. I'm no good at pick and dipping myself and I prefer the traditional way of laying bricks but it is certainly faster

To win Specmix in the US you need to be doing over 700 an hour.I was talking to a bricklayer the other day who has made the final a couple of times and has done over 800 in the regional heats. He does pick and dip with a MT Coke trowel which is similar to the trowel I have designed.I doubt if any of them will make 500 even Charlie as they are just not used to the competition as in the US you have to go through heats.I don't think Dean has a place as its full but ime sure they will make room for him if he is fit 😂

I think you may be right, there are also quite a few rules that incur deductions so the quality will have to be there from them all or they will get too many bricks taken off. Are you getting your trowel manufactured?

@@Tone_Team Thinking about it but it's very difficult to find a manufacturer and Worldwide patents are extremely expensive and difficult to apply to a trowel. As soon as you started selling them and they were successful the Chinese would be making them for half the price.
