The biggest story in MotoGP right now is who will end up with the second seat on the Factory Ducati MotoGP team in 2025! This rider will join the current world champion, Pecco Bagnaia. Ducati is considering three strong candidates for this coveted position: Enea Bastianini, Marc Marquez, and Jorge Martin.
In this video, I delve into the strengths and performances of each rider and, at the end, make my prediction on who I think will secure the ride!
First up is Enea Bastianini, the current seat holder. Bastianini faced a tough 2023 with crashes and mistakes, but in 2024, he's showing remarkable improvement. He's riding strong, displaying significant speed, and fighting hard to keep his spot.
Next, we have Jorge Martin, the current championship leader in 2024. Martin has been incredibly fast over the past few years, narrowly missing the championship in 2023 due to mistakes and crashes. Now, in 2024, he leads the world championship with multiple Tissot Sprint and Grand Prix wins just five races into the season. If Ducati focuses on raw speed from the last two seasons, Martin would be the top candidate.
Lastly, there's Marc Marquez, the eight-time world champion, crowd favorite, and the winningest active rider. After a successful run with Repsol Honda, Marquez experienced a losing streak due to the bike's declining performance, leading to crashes and injuries. Now, riding for Gresini Racing on a Ducati, Marquez is back in the hunt, showing signs of his old greatness. His performances in 2024 indicate that the old Marc is back!
Stay tuned until the end of the video for my prediction on who will get the 2025 Factory Ducati seat!
