Seems wild that a minotaur could send an ogre flying 50ft, but ogres are the punching bag of total war these days so it seems to track. The taurs should win this engagement and im glad they did, just thought them getting flung was weird.

The thing about Ogres is that they're almost like 'shock monstrous infantry'. They don't have amazing staying power and their charge is amazing, but most other things about them fall short. Sad, really. Their leadership isn't the best and it really affects their ability to stand and fight.

@@inwit594 Agreed, the orges should lose this fight. It was the fact that the big ogres got launched. I find great weapon ogres to be really good at stopping enemy cav flanks and then using them to flank when possible. Or getting a hero to melee a monster unit and then crash the ogres into the unit once it focuses on the hero. An army of like 5-6 heroes and plague ogres is really devastating mid game unless your facing down a cannon line, then you might be boned.

The ogres flying like that is a bit concerning. Ogre mass needs a buff.

Minotaurs have better animations even though their stats are worse, they just get more damage in, this is much more apparent when fighting infantry

Yeah all the cool fancy animations the ogres do have a negative effect on combat prowess
