Last time i checked, Star Wars doesn't use laser blasters. They're still plasma based, and the same thing with light sabers. The only reason there are different colors is because of the type of gas the blasters use: Red bolts: cheap gas, easier for mass production Green bolts: higher quality gas but harder to obtain Blue bolts: more affective against droids Orange/gold bolts: more volitile

So it's like calling a power lever a throttle even if the only diff3rnce is a throttle is connected to a throttle body a power level is not... So calling a personal blaster a laser is just a common way to rether to a blaster that is not technical... But laser sword is an IRL thing to avoid copyright and I never heard anyone say laser blaster before...

@@UncleMikeDrop True, but the Tyranids seem to be more adaptable. I don't think that the flood could infect a Tyranid, as the Octarius War showed us that the Tyranids adapted their cells to hunt down and eat orc spores to stop them from respawning. If anything, the Tyranids have an advantage because they would just need to kill flood-forms to integrate their biomass, where the flood would need to have sufficient infection already in place before they used Tyranid biomass to create a colony.

Actually I think the Leviathan could absolutely crush the flood quite handily, specially if it’s a single leviathan vs a gravemind. While there is conflicting lore information on it, at least on most Interpretations, Graveminds and combat forms both require neurons and nervous systems to exist. Mind control in mass effect is based on using element zero to forcefully activate the neurons of your target. It has nothing to do with magic, or mind power, or even intelligence. If something has neurons it can be mind controlled and if it can be mind controlled it can be killed by the same powers. The Leviathan could instantly take control of the keymind and its combat forms and basically tell them to mill themselves. The flood spores don’t seem to have neurons but they don’t result in instant infection and the leviathan could just seal themselves in a bunker or tell the combat forms and other animals in the planet to defend them and create flamethrowers or some other tool to kill the spores with. Even if the Leviathan gets infected they would just need to order the Gravemind to kill themselves and would still win the duel just by the fact the flood gravemind would die first.

@13:15 mark just a small correction. The typical Blasters in Star Wars aren't actually Laser based they are Partical based like the Beam Rifle in Halo. The different colors the Blasters give off are actually due to the mixture and quality of the gas which produce different effects. Yellow blaster bolts are produced by a less than lethal gas mixture often used in training, red is considered the standard mixture, blue is ionized, and green is high powered. There's also purple and gold blaster bolts colors, but what they do has never been explained and I would describe them as likely a custom mixture because of their rarity. Edit: This also extends to Kyber energy based tech, Kyber only works as an energy amplifier. Lightsabers are plasma swords just like Halo's Energy Swords. George Lucus did have early concepts of Lightsabers being lasers, but that was never a canon element.

I'm not saying Leviathans would win, because this is a halo channel and I know this comment section would be an uphill battleground 😂, but nevertheless, I feel the need to point out that the gravemind would have zero ability to 'reverse the mind control' as so many people put it. Willpower doesn't factor into it, it is straight up a biological neurotoxin that happens to let other entities control your neurons while it kills you (and it does kill you. Mass Effect emphasizes multiple times that any amount of exertion on the part of the dominator severely damages the neurons of the dominated).

All precursor knowledge exists within the Domain, and when the flood rose up, they also utilized the Domain. Once the new cycle graveminds rose up, they yet again utilized the Domain. The Domain, while potent, is not a fact of the universe but a coded technology that is programmed to recognize and sync to precursors, which is why each gravemind inevitably accesses it. If you were to break the Domain using neural physics, no gravemind would ever again be able to use their collective knowledge without direct 1-to-1 living telepathy.
