Daring to be great?! He had no other options. Loma is with Top Rank and Mikey and top rank hate each other. All of the top guys at 140 are in the wbss tournament and there’s nobody to fight at 135. If Mikey wants a payday he didn’t have any other options. Spence was the only one available to fight. Thurman and porter are booked. Khan and Brook are negotiating a fight. Mikey literally had no other options for a big payday. I’m glad he took the fight but this is a money grab like khan vs Canelo or Brook vs GGG. To fight Porter the WBC champ, Errol Spence would need to join the WBC clean program with year round random VADA testing....which he won't do. That's the real reason that fight won't happen. Man all these welter weights are the same and have no charisma or personality like Shawn just copied Thurman, thurman is the only one likeable as a person and I’ve barely watched 10 min of him fighting. People love hyping this division up but they’re all a bunch of overpaid boring dudes who rarely fight and rarely fight actual competition. And people think mikey is crazy or easy for Spence but no one thought mayweather was an easy fight for maidana and stuff, it don’t matter the size anyone can put anyone out, a 105lber would drop most of us in the comments. Brook and Khan were both outboxing GGG and Canelo but look what happened in the middle rounds - the bigger guy just fucked the smaller guy up and arguably ruined their careers. Brooks eye got fucked up so bad he needed surgery and metal implants, Khan got knocked out cold for 5 minutes and was out of the ring for over 2 years afterwards. Expect a similar result here and a few of Mikey's ribs to be broken at least. I'd love to see Mikey prove me wrong and win but realistically...he'll get smashed.
