This is essentially the same production team that works on the BLACKPINK videos. And represents a refreshed look from traditional Kpop. Is also worth mentioning that Taeyang said they did the video in 3weeks and Lisa had to squeeze her part between 2 concerts in Japan, a rehearsal in Vegas and the 2 weeks of Coachella itself.

Your comparisons to Usher, MJ, LL Cool J are not hyperbole. Taeyang is a K-Pop legend. And Lisa is incredible and will obviously go down as one of the best. This collab is absolute 🔥 "Shoong" is Korean onamonapia for the sound a car makes when it goes by at high speed. The lyrics are pretty straight forward, but sexy and cool. Lisa and Taeyang are probably two of the best dancers to ever do it, so it's no surprise that they crush it here. Along with the YGX backup dancers, who are definitely no slouch. The production here is great too. As you said, it's not overly complicated, but the beat is hard, and the accents and adlibs added into the production make for one hell of a catch song. It's been stuck in my head since the day it debuted, and I ain't mad at it. :)

Called one of the Kings of Kpop and the Prince of KRnb......... his Kpop group Big Bang influenced so much you see in Kpop today. Soo, soo, much..... Lisa is terrific and I also loved her part. Who doesn't love Lisa. An iconic collaboration, one of the best.

I am glad you had fun .This is god tier in kpop. Every back-up dancer is also famous. Taeyang and his group BigBang had a major influence on kpop industry and are the celebrities of celebrities. Lisa went from Thailand to Korea because of BigBang. As senior artists BigBang members help train the girls in BlackPink. There is a lot of versatility in kpop . Is not limited to one genre of music and artists are free to change styles from one song to another. If you dont mind balads Taeyang also has a MV for Seed . You could try watch Taeyang and GDragon performance of Good Boy at MAMA Awards 2014 . If you decide to give BigBang a chance I recommend you watch their performance at MAMA Awards 2015.

TAEYANG is a member of BIGBANG (the group that revolutionized KPOP since 2006, they are THE IDOLS of all idols, the OG) He's the main dancer and the main vocalist of the group. he really is the true king, major in rnb genre, and references MJ (Michael jackson) so much, you can hear from his voice tchnically, and the gimmick from his dance. Well, I don’t know what to say. Sorry I stumbled on your reaction a month late. Taeyang is known for his dancing and vocals. Check out his career with BigBang-you’d probably like G-Dragon who is an excellent rapper. Watch Monsta X’s “Sambakja” (I think that’s how you spell it) for some more good rapping. As for K-Pop videos, if you continue to react you’ll notice there is a big budget for the making of them, they’re almost like mini movies. Also, do a bit of looking at history of the band or singer so you’re somewhat familiar with them-no criticism just trying to help with your reactions, I’m a Grandma what can I say?! Enjoy!
