Song brings a tear to my eye. This one of my father's favorite songs. He's not here anymore but I am, having a glass of whiskey in his honor and thinking about his smile. I'm glad that we can still find timeless music like this.

I learned a long time ago that "Friends" can fit into 3 Catagories. A Reason, A Season, or A Lifetime. A reason can turn into a season and then a lifetime. So it's not always so cut & dry. And then you have the folks you just immediatly connect with & they are by your side & have your six no matter what! Thanks for the video! Peace To All!!

Kendrick Lamar, Made "Wacced out Murals" this week November 22, 2024. Million's of views at this point. Most people haven't figured out he remade this song. It shows his respect for the history of Hip Hop.
@SunzNbunz13 күн бұрын
Whole time I'd been sitting there trying to figure out what Wacked out Murals reminded me of. A dancer Named Lil Buck did a performance Jookin at the Kennedy Center and a part of the beat used the hook to this song. So here I come to go listening to this masterpiece my dad always used to play back in the day again. And the moment the baseline came in, in the back of my head I went "Yeah 🥷🏾keep your head down and work like I do" and it hit me immediately! That's wild! Kendrick wasn't playin frfr. And whosampled still doesn't have this on the site yet, so this is currently still a lil easter egg for those who actually know this song. I love it 😂 also shouts out to you for realizing what song it was off rip. I figured it out completely by chance hahah

An OG once told me in a youth program meeting, the 80's gangstas are the result of why law enforcement, nation wide cracked down on kingpins, drug rings, gangs, criminal underworld and organizations. That's why to this day nothing is the same. The game has changed. The streets ain't mad crazy like it was in the 80's No more fat gold chains, diamond rings, gold tooth or pushing weight, packing uzis He told me this in 2013. My grandma recently said that she's happy that my hood ain't mad active like it was some thirty years ago and she's glad there's no more crazy hood shit happening. That was a couple weeks ago. So yeah. The game changed. Nothing will ever be like it was.

I’m really sick of you morality police coming on these videos talking this bullshit. You can’t even enjoy a classic song without putting down other classic songs for being “too vulgar” and reminiscing about the “old days” as if everything was fine and dandy for everyone in the 80’s during the Reagan era. The violence you hear in music is a reflection of the world around us and expecting everyone to just stick to making “happy” music that doesn’t scare the white people away when the country has been fucked for years is just silly.

[Hook] Friends - how many of us have them? Friends - ones we can depend on Friends - how many of us have them? Friends - before we go any further, let's be Friends [Verse 1] Is a word we use everyday Most the time we use it in the wrong way Now you can look the word up, again and again But the dictionary doesn't know the meaning of friends And if you ask me, you know, I couldn't be much help Because a friend's somebody you judge for yourself Some are ok, and they treat you real cool But some mistake your kindness for bein' a fool We like to be with some, because they're funny Others come around when they need some money Some you grew up with, around the way And you're still real close to this very day Homeboys through the Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall And then there's some we wish we never knew at all And this list goes on, again and again But these are the people that we call friends [Verse 2] When we first went out together, we barely knew each other We had no intentions, on becoming lovers But in no time at all, you became my girl Me and you, one on one, against the world Talkin on the telephone for hours at a time Or else I was at your house, or you was at mine And then came the arguments and all kinds of problems Besides making love, we had nothing in common It could've lasted longer because it started out strong But I guess we went about the whole thing wrong 'Cause out of nowhere it just came to an end Because we became lovers before we were friends [Hook] Friends - how many of us have them? Friends - ones we can depend on Friends - how many of us have them? Friends - before we go any further, let's be Friends [Verse 3] You say you and your girl friend were so tight You took her out with you and your guy one night She even had a set of keys to your home And you shared mostly everything you owned But as she shook your hand, she stole your man And it was done so sweet, it had to be a plan Couldn't trust her with cheese, let alone your keys With friends like that you don't need enemies You wonder how long it was all going on And you’re still not sure if you’re glad he’s gone You say, well if she took him he was never mine But deep inside you know that's just another lie And now you're kinda cold toward people you meet 'Cause of something that was done to you by some creep But nevertheless, I'll say it again That these are the people that we call friends [Hook] Friends - how many of us have them? Friends - ones we can depend on Friends - how many of us have them? Friends - before we go any further, let's be Friends

Amava essa época, os bailes eram muito melhor. Com essas músicas valia a pena ir às bailes, anos 80.
@franciscofeitosa82672 жыл бұрын
Concordo plenamente os bailes o DJ, não tinha tanta vaidade que temos hoje. Mais temos o melhor a música tanto instrumental o vocal símbolos de uma geração de Nova York. #ILove80
