Rh Factor generally kills in utero causing repeated miscarriage or still birth. My Mom is Rh- and luckily testing for Rhesus and the injection that inhibits it were in practical use before I was born. As I am her eldest, I probably wouldn't be here without it. IMHO this wonderfully resilient woman probably wasn't well prepared or well cared for both pre- and post natal. Pre-natal care has made a huge impact in lessening infant mortality in our time. Also, I myself had a problem producing milk and supplemented with formula to ensure my baby's nutrition. Formulas weren't in existence then and I can't imagine not having that option to ensure my baby's nutritional needs. There's so many small and simple factors that doctors were unaware of at that time that could have made this a recurring issue. It's so sad to me, really. 😢
