storytime 'cause i've known this song for like one year but it's so relatable for a situationship i had four years ago with a guy i met just after breaking up with my partner. he had just left his boyfriend too, and we sought each other. i told him i was hurt and he said he didn't care, but to not get too attached. i never smoked up until that point, but i couldn't say no when he offered me a cigarrette- just because it was him. i lost because i did fall in love, and when he left at the end of the year to pursue his career path i thought about going after him but it would've been too risky, too stupid, too obsessed over someone who wasn't even my bf or anything. i mostly don't smoke anymore for health reasons, but when i do i remember that i fell in love once. just once.

0:49 is such a relatable phrase for me. My friends-especially one in particular-have this really bad tendency of always hitting or just literally physically hurting people whenever they feel like it. I've become the most common victim of this; because whenever they do this, I simply become silent and laugh and pretend that my body isn't bruised and isn't hurting. One time, that one particular friend had kicked me around my crotch area. That hurts a lot, but I just laughed. It happened a second time. It hurt more. I stayed quiet and laughed. The third time, however, hurt more because she put more force into it and it hit a place that isn't meant to be kicked. I couldn't help my tears, and I even confronted her about her behavior. But she only laughed, saying sorry, but it didn't sound serious. She even called me dramatic. My other friend didn't care either, asking, "Does it really hurt? I don't think it does." But I take it, because they're all I have left. Even if I'm not the one who made them feel angry or sad, I take the brunt of their emotions because I don't want them to go away from me. Even if I'm not the one at fault, i say sorry because they don't know how to lower their pride. I feel like a punching bag. Emotionally and physically. But I just take it; because what else can I do?
