The seventeenth episode of Boss Analysis is yet another video about boss short-cuts.
Boss Short-cuts are what I called any special strategies that can instantly or almost-instantly kill a boss, or any strategies that make the boss incredibly easy. Some are intentional, some aren't, but in any case, they're always amazing to discover.

His feelings towards the beauties of the bird tribe are genuine, and he probably one of the few who doesn't know who seals off the genocide pact against the Serenes. And yeah, compared to the likes of Lekain, he's a Saint. And he's more powerful as a playable character than a boss.

You know, with regards to the O-D-O "skip", I actually picked this game back up recently, and I was in the middle of the Caveman chapter, nearing the end of the chapter, presumably grinding to take on King Mammoth. It had been a while, but after about an hour of unsuccessful King Mammoth fights, I decided to skip that (who needs a Cola Bottle anyway) and went straight to O-D-O. I have no idea what level Bel was at, but I think it was past Level 7, because her Laa-Laa did 899 damage, which when coupled with Pogo's Push Push and Gori's uh...whatever that Poo flinging skill he learns is called (accumulatively about...70-80 damage?) instantly killed O-D-O.

I have a boss shortcut In The Binding of Isaac and The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, if you use the Bible item on Mom, Mom's heart, or It Lives, it will instantly kill them. I like it because otherwise, the Bible is actually not a very good item, and it fits in with the game's lore, as (according to the in-game cutscene) when Isaac's mom was about to kill him, God sent an angel down to stop her, knocking her out with a Bible that was on the shelf.

Here's one of my favorites because it makes a pathetically easy boss even easier: Using Paladin Leeroy in Dark Souls 1. In case you didn't know, the boss Pinwheel in the Catacombs of Dark Souls is arguably the easiest in the series, a decently leveled character being able to 3-shot it with a good weapon. But if you really want to cheese Pinwheel, there's an NPC summon named Paladin Leeroy nearby who can kill the boss just as fast, if not even faster than a high-level player!

The armored boars, the black knights and the two gargoyles (for example) are what most people would count as minibosses, non-respawning, more powerful enemies that usually takes a bit longer to kill than the regular enemies in their respective areas. Pinwheel has an intro, a health bar at the bottom of the screen, his own theme and gives you the "VICTORY ACHIEVED" thingie when you beat him, just like any other boss that isn't a miniboss. So no, Pinwheel cannot be classified as a miniboss, despite how easy he is.

Another way to cheese Brock is to drink a Spitfire before fighting the tank. You'll carry the effect into the fight, and can safely chip Brock's health down.

I nominate Elusid from Dragon Quest 9 for a boss shortcuts list. Unlike the other grotto bosses before him, Elusid's focused mostly on magic, with only one or two physical attacks. This makes him a bit of a pain to fight, as even with magic resistance, he still does a great deal of damage, making him pretty tough to fight without knowing about any shortcuts. So, there's a Shield skill in-game called 'Magic Mirror', which reflects all attacking spells back to their source. This, combined with the paladin skill Forbearance, which has the user shield the entire party, effectively gives your team a magic-proof wall to protect your entire team. The thing with strategies like this, though, is that they fall victim to the ability Disruptive Wave, which removes all additional effects from your party. Many bosses have it, making set-up and strategies difficult. Elusid doesn't. You can turn a tough mage boss' spells against him, and he has no way to fight back.

Another boss shortcut in DR is using the mannequin torso against psychopaths. It's a super strong weapon, taking out the first Carlito fight in a mere 2 hits. Idk about the other psychopaths, but I assume that it's also overpowered against them as well.

In okami i absolutely HATED these enemies called blockheads. They were literal walls that blocked some new areas. The only way to kill them is to draw dots that appear in certain spots, but i had bad short term memory, and you have to draw them all in one go. The last (and hardest one) has a shortcut though. You have to vine whip a certain area, and you get to have one last race with the paper dude at the beginning of the level, before he dies. That is my favorite boss shortcut of all time.

Girl power beating everybody doing the dinosaur. Sleep being indefinite is definitely a problem. Especially if we're going to have entire bosses not immune to it. Yeah. This is why later games Ridley is more competent with the close range. Not that it's devoid of blind spots in it, but at least he doesn't suffer that. Silly recruit condition is silly. Yellow Devil does deserve to be glitched out by flimsy NES standard programming. What the hell is up with this Brock fellow. Having not known of that shortcut, I personally found Brock Mason a lot less annoying than that similar DR2 boss. At least Brock doesn't knock you off of a tall platform, forcing you to painstakingly climb back up! (I may also have been better at using Frank's combat skills than Chuck's, but it's mostly the platform thing)

Chaos card in the Binding Of Isaac Rebirth/Afterbirth. Guaranteed one shot kill on any enemy, even on normally invincible ones and bosses. Mega Satan and Hush are the only bosses in the game that will take 2, although it might be possible yp get both of hush's forms with it, but you can always pair it with blank card and some charge reducing items for more.

It's weird... I just finished my first playthrough of Path of Radiance, on Hard mode... I get that the chapter is long, but can't you save in between? Because I had absolutely no trouble with it. In fact I cleared it fast enough to kill the Adept Halberdier before Tibarn.

Alright, good work. Uh...just a suggestion for future episodes of these shortcut videos...Egg Dragon from Lufia II, anyone? Well, the dude (or dudette...? Whatever theterm is for females) has 65,536 HP, and is pretty much the toughest boss in the game...but if you heal it, the health overflows, and your left with something with only about 400 or so HP, depending on how you healed it. Not to mention that this boss can be fought repeatedly, allowing one to quickly gain levels and G's with great ease.

So, if you were to put the enemy to sleep in Final Fantasy 5, then put your party to sleep by stupidity/got reflected... the battle would never end and you'd have to reset? This is an earlier video and I'm assuming you're done with Live-A-Live (and especially done with Akira forever), but I was using a walkthrough, and apparently the Liquefied Human boss activates his kamikaze attack when you smack his behind. Probably a dumb switch or something.

There is a bonus boss in the last chapter that does something similar, if he is attacked in the back, he will counter with an attack called "Not The Tail!" It does very minor damage to your characters, but does 999 damage to the boss which kills it outright.

Here's my shortcut. In the Plague of Shadows expansion in Shovel Knight, if you have this combination: Black Powder, Lob Casing, any Long Fuse (well, anything but the Remote and Sentry Fuses), you can stun lock Specter Knight with a simple matter of good timing. I even got a no hit achievement for it! ^^

You can buy them for 30,000 ptas from RE4's merchant. They DO take up a lot of inventory space and can only be used once. Beating the game once as Leon allows you to buy The Infinite Launcher for I think... 1,000,000 ptas in all new game + files.

Hey git, I know it's not about the video, but I have a game I'd like to recommend to you. It's a game for the 3DS called Project X Zone. If you've already played it, ignore this comment, because it's a long one. If you haven't, allow me to explain. Project X Zone is a (very Japanese) crossover SRPG that plays a lot like Fire Emblem. It's got TONS of characters from Namco, SEGA, and Capcom games. This includes Frank West, Megaman, Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and other characters from games you've probably never even heard of. It's also got a very interesting storyline, not to mention it will keep you entertained for quite a while--it has a total of 46 chapters/levels, and each one takes about an hour to complete. I'm not really sure if you'll like it as much as I do (I love it like a freaking son), but as I was watching this video, I realized it seemed right up your alley. Hope you don't mind. ^w^;

I think you mentioned you haven't played Fire Emblem Awakening before but I think I should point out a boss cheese in there. There's a dark magic tome called mire that has a range of up to 10. Considering the fact there are two potential users of this before reclassing units, they are both very capable, and you can marry them so that you can have both of them use mire in the same turn and have a chance of the other attacking when they do, most bosses can go down turn 1

Mr. Git, I have an easy boss shortcut: in Castlevania for the NES for (possibly) every boss in the game: First, get the Magic Stopwatch. Second, get a lot of hearts.( The stopwatch uses 5 hearts) Third, ZA WARUDO! (If you get the reference) Fourth, whip out all your ''hearts" content (pun intended).

well rocket launcher were also one shot weapons and cost a ton i guess they had to make them worth the price? though they are also part of the infinite ammo code you can unlock but i can imagine that just having one in your inventory for a boss in RE5 for a boss isnt really worth the trouble

I have a boss shortcut for a Japanese game called Tetsuwan Atom on the Super Famicom. I couldn't beat the first boss for a while because Atom moves REALLY slow and his punch is a little delayed, however a couple weeks ago I found you could do a flying move by charging up your rocket boots and when you start to fly, you press the punch button. I guess I'm just fucking stupid! Use it on the 1st boss, the Sphinx, and when you charge into him, it hits him MULTIPLE times. Flying into him 3 times will kill him. The same thing does NOT work with the 2nd stage boss. That's a bummer, because it's a really hard boss for the 2nd level!

If you are interested in Fire Emblem boss short cuts look no farther than the Black Knight from PoR and RD. Both games feature a showdown between Ike and the Black Knight but this is all very skippable if you know what you are doing. PoR: You'll have Mist support in the fight even then the fight comes down to a "who can proc what first". What if your Ike isn't trained though? Just run away from the Black Knight, being a General based class he has less movement so even the wimpiest of Ike can beat the chapter. The fight auto ends in 5 turns regardless if Niggah Knight is standing or not. RD: Can't run away in this map sir, the map is a "kill boss" chapter, HOWEVER we haven't been training our Ike at all, fear not the game isn't unbeatable from this point on. Ike has recently promoted to a Vanguard regardless of his level and gained the ability to use axes. Huh didn't a pick up a Hammer not 10 minutes ago? BINGO! Have Ike wait for Mr Knight and hammer time to fool, no need for him to bite your legs off in this fight Ike has enough base strength from his promotion to 2 hit KO Mr Knight. All you gotta do is survive 1 potential crit.Trained Ike can 1 shot Mr Knight with the Hammer but you might not want to if Ike is good enough because of the WishBlade held by the miniboss.
