Saturdays is when I usually clean and do errands but thats if i dont have to pick up extra day of work. Saturday is my only day to clean the house or sometimes I have to skip house cleaning if I have alot of errands to do on Saturday. Sunday is spending time with family and relax but also Sunday sometimes grocery shopping. Don't get me wrong. I try to do 1 load of laundry a day, clean kitchen up after dinner and straighten things up but I have to still clean up bathroom, dust, sweep and mop.

I swept our kitchen/hall/bathroom while I made some food, I was all done and had a huge pile of cat fur and then I ate and when I walked down the hall their was a whole other cat worth of hair, so I did it all again. I def should've vacuumed but I wanted to be done before the food was ready... I'm sure I could go create more cats if I swept again 😭 we still have snow but the animals know it's spring, I've got two birds molting and a cat and dog that shed and my non-shedding dog sheds like a human but his hair is so long from the winter that he is even making messes! I do have a cordless vacuum but I didn't want to use it BC my son cooked and there was green pepper and rice all over 🤔 so, you motivated me but I'm not sure the house realizes I did anything 😬 Also took some ZZ cuttings and I'm hoping they'll propagate. So mostly a productive day thanks to you girl! My back is bad though so I'm going to read 📖 and hopefully get a second wind later so I can vacuum up the bedroom as that's where the birds live and I've got wall to wall carpet in there! Random but as your kids get older do you find there are actually more things to clean? Like I've said before mine are 20 and 18 now and I am certain they're messier now than ever before. I'm thinking it's the independence and the fact they make their own food most of the time and get their own snacks, where when they were younger it was more work in that they needed help with things but it was on my schedule and energy level. Would love to know if you or any other parents are feeling their kids are actually messier in a different way as they're getting older?!

Cash is not doing his job as a K9! It's his duty to ensure no popcorn remains on the floor! Lol I made popcorn the other night and my dog wanted what was left then I heard him chewing the kernels and I quickly grabbed the bowl from him and told him he "understood the assignment too well". My only regret about letting the kids start to eat in their rooms is that even now that they're both young adults dishes literally will be missing, nothing in the sink, half empty cupboards and an empty dishwasher. So then we either have to invade their privacy and go snooping in their rooms for dishes or wait for them to be home from work and then nag them. Neither feels like a good option BC of their ages. When my son was in Italy for the summer he cleaned his room up before he left, I went in to vacuum, dust and do his bedding when he was coming back and I found 27 half full water bottles, like WHY? He just got back from a month of traveling again and I found half full water bottles, full but open Gatorade and a fork in the recycling 😱 I know he's capable of cleaning properly BC his apartment in Italy didn't have a maid. I would love to surprise the kids with a solid mom clean but I know they would be very angry and feel their one private area was gone through and I don't want to make them feel that invasion of privacy and breach of trust. You're such a great mom and your kids are lucky to have you! I genuinely wish my relationship with my 2 was as awesome as yours!
