Never heard of that sand that Freya loves, but I have two words for you: SAND BOX! Keep it outside! Have a little spot before the door for wiping off sand, shaking out shoes to keep it all outside. Lots getting done at your house. You have me decluttering and it is harder than I thought even though I have done it many times. Seems like I am getting down to what I really don't want to get rid of but have no great reason for keeping except, "I would like to keep it." So like you said, I am not forcing it and will revisit some things in a while. It is also clear that having the right cleaner or right cleaning tool is just smart. Thanks for the inspiration.

My kids love kinetic sand, too. I put it on a large sheet pan and have them play with it on those. It's not a perfect solution, but it keeps about 90% of it contained. It makes clean up so much easier, just tilt the pan and pour into your container.

When my kids were little and played with kinetic sand, I stored it in a large, under bed storage bin so that they could play in the bin with it to reduce the mess. It worked - there was still a little spillage but it was extremely minimal.

When my kids were little there was no kinetic sand but there was playdoh. I would put down dollar tree table covers to lay down and what could not be put back in the cups ,I would scoop up cloth and just shake it outdoors.

I loved to use kinetic sand when I worked with kids. I used a plastic play mat or you could use a plastic table cloth under where they are playing makes easy clean up.

I clean my bathroom all the time, I share with the grandkids. They seem not to know how to put stuff in the garbage, or put a new roll of toilet paper on the holder, or hang up towels. I pick up the living room to on the regular . They don’t know how to use the garbage can in there either! And dirty dishes never seem to make it to the kitchen. Ahhhh, such is the life with 3 teenagers! Great video today.

She has a hall closet near the boy's room and one next to Freya's room. She has baskets and each is separated into categories. So rags in one, mop socks, mop heads, cleaner, paper towels, etc. The other one has the vacuum and the rug shampooer, etc.

Hi Cambria and friends. Loved your message about being grateful, kinda forgot the wording. Having dirty dishes because your kids are fed. Clothes to wash etc. it’s so true! Glad you’re adding yourself to the people you take care of. I was a divorced Mom of 4 boys. All played baseball, I worked, was the VP of the ,youth league. On and on and on….! Knew my gallbladder wasn’t the greatest.. It tried to kill me. Sepsis, long hospital stay, IV antibiotics , home and back for surgery. It scared my kids so much!! 😔 Every Mom needs some ‘Me Time’ so you’ll be around longer. It will benefit the whole family. ❤

I agree completely on the timed cleaning especially with children. I used this method many years ago with my daughter and we both made a game of it. In fact one night I was awoken by a weird sound coming from my 8yr old daughters bedroom. Upon inspection I found her vacuuming her rug because the sparkles she had been playing with earlier got spilled and it bugged her. I thought I had created an anxious child with our cleaning routines. Turned out it was a one time incident and now she's a busy mom and gives me cleaning tips and tricks. She enjoys a clean house but, like you, it's lived in.

Don’t think of it as you’re not prioritizing your family, think if it as they are learning with you to prioritize themselves. Being self sufficient is a modeled and learned skill. Also as far as motivation, thinking of chores as a gift to your future self is a great place to start. I know that’s how I get 90% of my tasks done.

Well, Christmas is gonna really be sad for us this year. 😢 We lost a lot of family members. I can't go anywhere becuz I'm disabled with my fibromyalgia. To top that off, my hubby lost his job. He took too many personal days due to his feeling overwhelmed helping me and his mom, who is 75 and has lung issues and is on oxygen and she broke her leg and is using a wheelchair and healing up... but he does everything now for both of us...he was depressed and feeling suicidal so he went to the clinic and got paperwork he turned in but his new boss said it was a "personal issue" even though they have mental health posters up all over at the university. Hipocrites don't care about others, only themselves. So we are flat broke anð have no way to pay our bills. I hope they don't shut off the water because its due the 20th and has a shut off notice. 😢 IDK what to do since I'm not able to work and am on fixed income with SSDI. There will be no presents for this year. 😢We didn't even decorate becuz with us both depressed we didn't bother with it. Plus, the apartment is chaos, and I have no one else to help me. I have no family here. I have a couple of close friends that I never get to see anymore. I told hubby I was just wanting to give up. The ONLY reason I haven't is becuz I believe in Jesus. And I know He wants me to stick it out. I have no idea why but here I am!!!! 🙏🏻💜✝️👍🏻👍🏻

I took Stock Market class in high school. It was interesting. I really loved it. It was intimidating for most people, so we only had like 7 students in that class, and our teacher (who was my favorite teacher) said our class was the BEST he has ever taught. It's worth reading the stock market and learning the codes and numbers. Pick up a stock market notebook that you can calculate the numbers in. (Staples) Create a grid of the numbers. Pick like 2 or 3 companies you like or are interested in and get to know their numbers and the percentages as they go up and down. That way, you will know if it's an actual company you want to invest in. It's easier than you think.
