The Zep Boys hired me and my light show for a week in the late 80's on the Gold Coast Redline Studios I spent a week learning all the songs I and a friend thought they would play, the band was awesome and so was my light show great memories thanks Zep Boys.

Had some great nights back in the late 80's, early 90's, seeing the Zep Boys blow the roof off the Corner Hotel in Richmond. EASILY the best tribute band that I ever saw.

Just watched an early 80s interview with Vince and the early Zep boys with Daisy on one of the TV music shows. Had the pleasure in the last few years to meet and hear Vince and the Zep Boys at Rock the Ranges. Keen for April 22 2023. @Vince, where can we buy a copy of this concert with the ? ASO? Cheers

Seen these guys 3 times as the Zep Boys ( once as a support for Alice Cooper; which any ol band gets. Right.....) and 3 times with an orchestra. My God! What an experience. Never will you hear Zeppelin live like this again. And each time, Vince just kills it.

awesome - remember one night around 1990 at the Palais in St K - drinking with the armed rob boys in the cocktail lounge - and the Zep boys were playing - all I saw was 300 long hair louts rocking their heads - and the glass window of the cocktail bar moving in and out by 6 inches - what a blast - what a night - what a band !

I saw this guy perform solo at least 10 years ago in a small local Pub. He doesn't look any older, and that hair!!! The Voice, better than the original.

Led Zepplin actually went to see this band. They commented that the Zep Boys played better than them.......
@carpetcle14 жыл бұрын
@mickeyfinn31 ...Like I didn't actually see them there, it was mentioned during an interview between Richard Stubbs and the Led Zepplin Band ... It was at the Corner Hotel in Richmond... that is a common haunt for famous muso's ..The Stones have popped in there and numerous big name bands....

As far as drums sounds go,the band Rival Sons do a great job of capturing that organic drum tone most sound engineers are too dumb to know how to get.

@Jellybeantiger overproduced? what are you on about?
@TheMullerFan13 жыл бұрын
@Jellybeantiger I dig. Wasn't having a go man just wanted to know what you're view was. The trend these days with drums seems to be to compress the bejesus out of them. Lose thier sound, keep their thud. It's not cool

@TheMullerFan I love the band ,don't get me wrong but they need that big openess that Bonham's drums had. Big fat 26 kick tuned high without anything inside it,Bonham's famous snare sound and high pitched toms and his paheasey sounding soundedge hats.not the drumer fault probably,the engineer cranking the compressors too much lol.His drums probably sound great until the engineer started to play god with his sound.
@Jellybeantiger16 жыл бұрын
The drums sound too overproduced like all Australian engineers seem to do. It's about the soul!

4:59 - 5:27 - Absolutely nailed that! Those high tones! That sounds better than Robert Plant!
