I love how you can hear the percussion of his right hand through this whole thing. It barely ever stops moving. There's a reason he always preferred to stand right next to the drums.

Only Malcolm Young could make a cleaner tone sound so heavy
@boopsnoot2807 Жыл бұрын
That’s not a clean tone, that’s a mild overdrive. If anything it’s just the fact that he only had one pick up in his guitar that was for the bridge pickup and he just plugged straight into the amp.
@jeffmurdock83214 ай бұрын
@@boopsnoot2807 The real secret in the sauce was that's not a PAF humbucker pickup there, it's a vintage Filtertron. It was a whole different animal and build inside. Really cool pickups. Gretch used Filtertrons.

Saw DC live three times...1995, 1999 and 2008. During the 1999 Stiff Upper Lip tour I was lucky to be at the front of the mosh pit. I spent pretty much the whole show holding on to the rail to keep my play and was just watching Malcolm the whole time. It was phenomenal. Got to the encore and I made the choice to let go of the rail, and was promptly swept away into the crowd 🤣🤣🤣
