So happy that you are feeling better. And YES - you should definitely extend your Holiday celebration into January. Traditionally Christmas was celebrated until January 6 (Epiphany) - that's where the "Twelve Days of Christmas" comes from.

Since childhood we have always kept our tree up until the Three Kings, which is the END of the 1st week in Janurary. We have continued with this tradition over the years now. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, and the Three Kings. (5 HOLIDAYS) We celebrated with a bonfire and Hot Chocolate for the Three Kings. Our whole neighhood participated in this, which made it extra special for us as kids & our famlies🎅

When I grew up, we always went to a friend's house to celebrate the three kings holiday. They would do a huge bonfire at their home. I put my tree up Thanksgiving day here while our dinner is cooking, blasting Christmas music. We didv1 of 2 2 things with our tree, leave it up all year and decorate it for different holidays OR take it down before Jan 12th. My sons birthday. My husband would love it up all year because he loves the lights , lol. How did I digress. 😂

Your boyfriend seems adorable. We use fake, realistic candles on our tree some years. It looks real, but no fire and it's so pretty. Anyways, love the decorating and the cookies.

Glad you feel better. I love the tree and decorations. That’s great you worked on the crafts together. It was nice to hear his voice. I’ve never had anything but electric lights. I would love a real tree but had a hard time keeping it watered. I do keep my tree with lights after Christmas and add snowflakes and hearts with winter, snowmen and Vintage Valentine decor and then it comes down in February. 🎄❤️❄️

I think you could call them your snow biscuits, as the coconut makes it look like show on the top?! I love your Christmas tree, and all your decorations. I have my pot grown Christmas tree in my sitting room - I put it back out in the garden in it's pot after Christmas, and I have had it a couple of years now. I have a very small area of garden at the front of the house, and I still have my Christmas tree from at least 7 years ago growing in a big pot out there! I have timed battery coloured, and a warm glow strings of lights on my Christmas tree, so they come on automatically around 3.00 pm and switch themselves off at 9.00 pm which is great! What a dreamy tree. For your cookies, if you don’t mind making your own cookie dough for the base cookie, try adding some almond extract to the base cookie instead of vanilla to heighten the almond flavor of the marzipan. Blessings! ❤

I was sick 12/1- 12!!! Headache, sinus, sore throat, ringing ears, blowing the nose!! Too much I’ve begun to feel. Better the last few days. But it made me sleepy. I think Denmark must be on the same parallel as The st. Of Vt!! Love your decorations and tree. My apartment is a Victorian with high ceilings and and windows !! Love all your videos. It. I live in America and we've always put candles on our freshly cut tree because of my German mom.. We sit in the living room where the tree is to enjoy the peacefulness and then blow out the candles if we move to a new area in the house. We've never had a fire, as we're always careful to place the candle clips on the outer branches with nothing above. We use a wild tree, not the pyramid - trimmed kind most Americans have. It has open spaces and wide branches. It is a magical time when we "light the tree" on Christmas Eve. I haven't met anyone else here that does this and they are all amazed at wonderful it looks. I hope you try it, you'll never not have candles in Christmas's to come. Merry Christmas to you and your boyfriend.

One of the things I loved about living in Spain was Christmas season was so long as they celebrated up to Three Kings Day in January(epiphany) so YES!!!!Keep celebrating Christmas into mid-January!!!
