When I heard their dreams I knew depression impact was coming. And Kevin's last wish must be for them all to live or something, because imo this whole OVA is CE Kevin's dream of the distant past. Also also, it was always hinted that the Giant Can was pardo, as we knew before, Can isnt a real cat, but more akin to how pardo saw herself. And the cat Can is just a personality of Pardo created when her brain scan data was put into ER.

What i thought was: Kevin's heart is already dead after Dr. Mei passed by. But he has to continue the Project Stimata which was created and improved by Dr Mei, cuz this is the only way to save the Humanity from Honkai (at least what they knew, Project Stigmata is the only choice). Of course we have now other possibilities, but even Einstein and her colleges don't know whether these plan can really work. For Kevin, he doesn't have time and couldn't afford to fail. Because once these plans led by Kiana and her friends failed, there is no way to defeat the Honkai. For now at least we are sure, that Project Stigmata is a solution to Honkai. Kevin will pay all the prices to make sure to execute this project successfully. In Honkai World, humen don't have too many options. Thoughts like:" maybe a better way","we can have a try","we should do this in other better ways" are unrealistic. We can have a try though, but Honkai will not give human the chance to do this.
