Before I sat down to record I glanced around at other takes on the character. I figured while I could have gone sweet/peppy, I thought a kuudere angle would be unique and fresh! And I am so happy to hear you say that about the ace/demi thing; there are several ace folks in my life who are important to me, and I got those vibes immediately. Honestly the most complicated part was nailing the near-monotone with vocal fry to get that Raven/Daria/Wednesday Addams kind of vibe. Editing took a long time, but it was more because I struggled focusing for long periods on something of this length, while listening to a flat voice that was putting me to sleep. ADHD was not my ally on this one lmao And thank you for the reminder! My desiccated husk can always use a good watering.
