@@Rainsummerwinter I live in the area, and there has been no confirmation that anyone who would have worked got paid. Also, anyone blindly supporting the “no tax on tips” agenda, should read the proposal more closely. The one that DT wants signed in and was previously drafted, and in that proposal is also a clause that allows employers to take the tips of their employees, thus effectively eliminating much of a workers income. Add on top of that the fact that this bill would also allow many highly compensated officials and upper 10% ers to take “tips” on services instead of payment so they could remain tax exempt … and all of a sudden the bill has some huge holes. A Better plan for tax relief would be to narrow who can take the tax free status, as well as change standard tax deductions levels which would actually do what is intended and help those people that need it the most. I strongly suggest people not take this “initiative” (bill) at face value because yeah when you say it it sounds good. But rather look it up and do some research into what it is actually about and what could be done to actually help lower income earners that would be better. ☮️
