In a controlled environment, rocks simulate abrasive impacts that vehicles might encounter on rough terrains, assessing the film's ability to withstand chipping and scratching.
Airsoft pellets, fired at varying velocities, test the film’s resistance to high-speed projectiles, ensuring it can protect against minor debris. Finally, exposure to a flamethrower examines the film's thermal resistance and adhesion under extreme heat, determining whether it can endure the high temperatures without degrading or peeling.
