Ardal starts off the Film & Theater Styles hilariously just by being himself. "Listen, eh, my skyscraper's on fire… yeah, that one there. Can you do something about it?" Then he has to do the quick-thinking improv for the style changes and it falls apart. His terrified "what?" after Clive says "E.R." is very telling. I give him points for trying.

was binging Whose Line on hulu and came across this episode. had to look for others who picked up on how bad this dude bombed. I couldn't enjoy the other performers cause I felt bad for this guy. first and last episode :/

He only appeared in the tenth season, which was the Hollywood version: this final UK season was shot in the US. Wayne became a regular on the US version from the second season on. Hope that helped...

Ardal looks way out of his depth when it comes to improvisation. He's only on because he was in Father Ted, which was extremely popular at the time, and was a Hat Trick Production as well.

I've never seen Ardal before, but he's really not built for improv at all. Perhaps he's funny elsewhere, but he can't think quickly enough for this. Meanwhile, Colin & Ryan are, as always, hilarious. -IMP ;) :)

I feel for Ardal here, because the other three have been doing improv of this level for some time prior to this appearance. That said, I found him quite funny and endearing because he was out of place. As much as I enjoyed Ryan and Colin, they got very redundant. One reason I loved Wayne joining the US version too was he'd laugh at everything - a bit redundant but broke the monotony. Same went here with Ardal. By far, not his best. Probably the worst I've seen of Ardal, but not bad still.

poor Ardal, I guess he had a little panic attack and didn't know what to do at the thesaurus thing, I'm not insulting him from saying is a act that require a big dictionary and ability to recall words very fast, a improv actor can or cannot be able to do that like when Ryan is asked something about classic movies around from ages and he doesn't know them, we expect him to but he just focused on something else for his routine
