no joke re the rings. I had a bud in the Navy who lost a finger when his wedding ring got caught as he jumped off the side of a tactical vehicle. I still wear my gold wedding ring to church, wedding, any time I need to dress nice, but I wear one of these for sure whenever I'm doing any kind of work with my hands, out in the woods or fields, or have even slightest risk of getting hung up on something.

Been waiting for that one for a while 😜. Still waiting for you to try the 220 Swift for serious speed and the a 35Rem in a real John Marlin 336...not that Remington owned crap they put out for a while. You will fall in love with that 35 Rem hunting in the brush of TN. If you think you may be going beyond 150 yards there are better choices, but everyone here in E TN and SW NC...including Cherokee Indians say that 35 is the best brush and bear gun around. They tend to shoot any of the 200 gr offerings with the accuracy of a bolt action up to 3 rounds, then it might open up a bit when it warms up. Nothing that other barrels won't do if they are not bulled and floated. I still carry mine a few times a year, but the rest of the season it's 30-06 in Savage 110 composite because it's light and I have the stuff to reload it and tons of cheap ammo for it that still shoots great. I have to admit I would love to fine a Rem Mod8 or 81 in 35. Some pretty old guns too. My Dad usually carries his Rem 742 in 06. That thing surprises the crap out of me with those same Federal 150 Power Shoks. First 2 shots are always in the same hole, then it will throw the 3rd round an inch or 2, but that cold bore shot and 1 follow up if needed are dead on every time.

Great angle on the "block cam". The Jeffery has the velocity at 250 yards that my 500S&W handi rifle does at the muzzle with buffalo bore 440 grainers. That Sako weighs more than the H&R, but that 600fps greater velocity is pushing back much harder too. I think my ammo is a bit less $ as well. Thanks for sharing.

Past makes recoil pads you wear. They strap on around your shoulder. They spread the recoil over a much larger area of your shoulder. I have one. I have a bad shoulder. It makes shooting things in the 30-06 and heavier recoil bearable.
