Why a Lumix S1II would make so much sense now!

I agree. LUMIX needs full frame at 4k 60p. No crop. They can add 6k open gate like the S5ii. The newer autofocus from the G9. The focus could be a photo first camera. More megapixels than the S5ii. Perhaps a 33MP sensor. That would be a winner IMO.

Lumix/Panasonic have missed the boat. I myself know a few Hybrid video shooters. That were tired of waiting fir the Mk2. So left Panny and have jumped to Canon and Nikon. 8K 60P RAW has been around 3.5 years. The S1H was great when it came out. But that was over 6 years ago.

I would say they should bring another update in which they include 4k 60p no crop and 4k 120p, if thats even possible with the current hardware. That would be amazing, would even pay for that update, instead of buying a new camera. Because the S5 II is already amazing!

Their SH1 Mk ii could be the full frame body with nd filters built in and using the Arri profile with all the bells and whistles.

Lumix has so much to work on, that I think we are not going to see a MKIII for the next 2 or 3 years. But I guess a faster sensor, better HDMI connection, FF 4k60p and some sort of slomo in the 6K 3;2, that will benefit from the faster sensor. And a dream wish, internal BRaw recording, to SSD is cool for me, but CFexpress B, would be ideal.

we have the A7V and R6 mark 3 coming Q1 2025 so they will all release at the same time and don't forget the DJI mirrorless

@@BoomingVisuals the S5d has been released because due to the new EU legislation you can only sell USB C cameras, so they had to discontinue the S5 and bring S5d

It made sense even like a year ago. Panasonic has spent a lot of time playing around with the S9 and putting lots of hype on the S5II(X) etc. I’m getting lust for Nikon. I own a S5IIx here. I don’t care about open gate not in the Nikon.

@@samuelboatengyt its ok for photos But for video... there is no shutter angle, which makes life easier. No anamorphic desquez in camera And the most uncomfortable 😖 part is no usb recording 😕. Cards are costly what ever people say.

Yes i feel frustrated with Lumix but currently in the market its either FX3 or s5iix. I have seen it, shoot it, experience it with z6iii....my final verdict is its photographer camera first' and Filmmaker 2nd

The thing is Lumix has a hi-res sensor with PDAF they could be using, the same sensor in the Leica SL3 was developed with the L^2 partnership. I have no idea what the hold is

Although I'm sure they'll do it but I don't think it will be anytime soon. They keep making cameras nobody ask for or re-released older cameras with minor gimmicks. Good luck waiting for anything meaningful from them.

Nikon and RED Engineers are working on bringing R3D’s to the Z9/Z8 and that’s going to be HUGE for hybrid photogs/filmmakers. Having a Z8 paired with My Gemini and Monstro packages would be insane!!

Bro, Why do you even have content on LUMIX you have so many complaints 😂 I’m shooting Events 2 to 3 times a week and there are at least 12 LUMIX preferred owners in the Atlanta Video Network killing it with paid work. I shoot Sony/Canon/BlackMagic these Cameras are only tools 🧰 but when you look at specs for cost spent end users are literally vocalizing wanting even more from the Company that is providing more for less already. Crazy how a Company gives us updates and we find a way to complain. Yet other Companies are sticking up the middle finger at us.
