How does it compare to the other festool mitre saw? The one that the motor stays stationary and the fences move to atcheave the angles. Sorry I can't remember the name of it

The SYMC 70 is really just meant for flooring and trim, it comes with wheels on the base so you can roll it around while kneeling as you install trim. It doesn't have sliding rails, so it can't do trench cuts, and it doesn't look like the blade can tilt, since you'll always be cutting at 90.

To add on to @coolbugfacts1234 , we also do not offer the SYMC 70 in the North American Market! As of right now, our Kapex 120 and KSC 60 make up our sliding saw family.

I thought you weren’t supposed to run the Kapex through the CT outlet? Don’t forget your safety glasses, great video, wicked pissah, maybe you can teach Curly how to run it in the next one?

I'm debating. I would like a new table saw. I really want a sawstop. But I'm a bit further away from affording that. But then I think.... If I had a better Miter saw... say... this one. LOL. Then I could totally make due with my current table saw since I have the TSC 55 and an MFT/3 table.

I love my Kapex, but SawStop > any miter saw.

Here is my formula. Can I rip or cross cut it with my track saw first especially partnering with an MFT. If I cam going to do a lot of cross cuts, out comes the miter saw and wings. Then and only if I have a lot of narrow rips, say taking the edge of off a 2x4, then out comes the table saw. Of the Track, Miter and Table, that table saw is last to come out. And sometimes depending on the project all three are set up for specializes functions. WIth an MFT I can set up all sorts of jigs too. No cross cut sleds to make or store. And I save a lot of room with no ginormous table saw.

I use my Kapex for all my crosscuts unless unless I max out the width. Great and accurate miter saw. Thansk for the video. Observation... I noticed you don't wait for the saw blade to a stop before you raise the blade. I found it can be dangerous to do so, especially with small cutoffs. Also, I was told with a sliding miter saw you should lower the blade when possible in front of the workpiece and then push it into the cut. Any thoughts?
