Please help me. I am broken with fear and heartache. I can not stop crying. Please pray for my beloved friend Scott who is suffering from mental health affliction and addiction. No one can help but God and I have been praying for years that He would deliver, heal and save my friend. Scott is a kind soul that needs God's intervention. Please cry out to God with me for my friend and for me.

I'm not trying to sound like an ass. But a person has to be willing to allow God to work on them. The word is willing. And when you're doing things that you're not supposed to be doing you cannot allow the holy Spirit to work in your life.

It is so good to see and hear you once again, Shawn! I was a bit concerned when you disappeared with no notice as far as Authentic goes. Welcome back! Happy Sabbath. We are one week closer to the Lord's return.

I wish the ministry would turn off ads sense on the channel. Some of the ads don' t even relate to the mission of the organization or the topics discussed. It's annoying to be distracted by these ads. Instead of the automatic ads by KZbin maybe you can promote your own products. I enjoy your video productions and believe in what you stand for.

One of the best podcasts out there. Thanks for your hard work, I really value the people who put work into the editing and making this enjoyable to watch with the clips and soundtrack. Wish there was a way to donate specifically to authentic and not just VOP in general. Many blessings!

Thank you for those kind words. 🧡 Authentic is part of "core ministry" for VOP-meaning rather than a specific restricted fund it's fed by the general support provided to VOP by donors as part of our baseline evangelistic mission. If you're ever interested, you can check out www.vop.com/give, but regardless, we really appreciate you watching the program and expressing your support! God bless.

I'm glad to see something new posted. Great episode! I think one of the biggest reasons modern people reject Genesis is because of the view most Christians have that the rest of the entire universe was created on Day 4. However, I think the proper way to understand Genesis 1 is to see the first three verses as an overview of pre-history and the rest of the universe being called into existence. The earth is not the first, but the last planet created. That's why chapter two begins with a declaration that it was finished. The 4000 year old universe flies in the face of the last 500 years of scientific discovery, which as you clearly point out here is in harmony with God. As Neil DeGrasse Tyson put it in his series 'Cosmos', any light from any object beyond the Crab Nebula could not have made it to earth in the short amount of time.

In Genesis 1: 16 where Moses records "...he made the stars also." ~ consider the possibility that this is a parenthetical reference stating that ALL things were created by God. Thus, the stars, other suns, planets and heavenly bodies could have been created long before the creation of our Solar System 🤔.

This video answered a lot of questions I had about the origin of “science”. I knew that the practice of science is to find out more about God in every aspect of nature, however, I did not know who started it or when. God is our amazing Creator and the things in this world, universe. It is amazing that He is not bound to space, time or matter. He is outside of His established boundaries and thus, is able to intervine by His good will. I believe in an awesome God, my Creator and Redeemer! Amen!

No matter what discoveries scientists have made, it always points to the existence of God whether they acknowledge Him or not. Even Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution points to God's existence, even though it seems to contradict the Creation Story. Without God, nothing is possible.

wow it's scary how by not retaining the knowledge of God in our hearts, can bring such a great imbalance in one's life. presumptuously thinking of self as wise above the knowledge of God, one reduces below dumb animals but still under a delusion of liberation and enlightenment leading to self destruction. I cant thank God enough for the privilege of knowing and communing with Him. I'm glad that God still talk even to this morally decayed generation we live in. thank you for bring this home.

Genesis 2:7 says, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground. Do you know what dust is?? It's the particles that fall off matter. We are not made from actual matter but the particles that fall off matter??!! David asked the question in Psalms 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? I long for the coming of Jesus, so I can go home and live for ever learning about God and His love. Amen.

During my deconstruction away from Conservative Evangelical literalism and legalism, I meditated long and hard on pagan mythologies. Zeus is indeed an unworthy image of the Heavenly Father! But many modern Christians still worship a false idol who reflects their own ideals and ideologies, not the eternal and invisible God. They worship a patriarchal Lord, who is hardly any less of an unjust slave-master than the lustful, sadistic, bloodthirsty demons who terrorized our ancestors. I do read Genesis as a myth now, but it's the truest myth in history. The meaning is Spiritual, not literal. We know this because of the ministry of Christ, who fulfilled the Law! Evolution is God's good tool of creation. 😇🏳⚧⚧

You have used the word "cog" more than once. Can we first agree that both meanings of "cog" it is used a bit like older, less high tech and less maritime, cultures, used beasts of burden or beasts of labour? So, compared to the experience of Biblical culture, a cog is actually a kind of beast? T 84 H 72 150 E 69 210 15 C 67 270 22 A 65 330 27 T 84 410+31 = 441 T 84 H 72 150 E 69 210 15 D 68 270 23 O 79 340 32 G 71 410+33 = 443 T 84 H 72 150 E 69 210 15 C 67 270 22 O 79 340 31 G 71 410+32 = 442 Can we then agree, we usually don't write "THECAT" and so on, but "the cat" and so on? Each lower case (for all English alphabet letters and the most common accented ones) is 32 more. The space between them is also 32. So, for each add 7 * 32 = 224. 441 443 442 224 224 224 665 667 ... Yeah, "the cog" is not a very pretty phrase in ASCII ...

The Bible's origin of the universe story is poetic (as are most myths) but hardly consistent in physical detail with what we know about the universe and human life. Genesis is comprehensible to pre-scientific Man as it must have been without notions and vocabulary to describe creation in other ways (more physically accurate). It is childish to take the account literally. It's far past time to stop being childish. Read, look, observe, listen --- think.

Even the pope says it's bullshit lol. But Shawn knows better 😉. "When we read in Genesis the account of creation [we are] in danger of imagining that God was a magician, complete with a magic wand that can do all things". - Pope Francis
