As much as i would love for them to have a reunion, i fully agree with this video. I absolutely love the clear explanation and elaboration along with this factual video!! It will basically be impossible to have the old 1D back as their not 19 year old teenagers anymore, they are all gradually growing their solo careers and making new albums + touring for some. Being a directioner myself, this honestly breaks my heart too but we just gotta accept reality and move on. Of course 1D will always be in our hearts and will forever be

The genius of One Direction is that they quit at the peak of their fame. The Jam and most famously The Beatles did the same thing and forever after that everyone kept asking when are you reforming? They never did. It makes the most sense never to reunite. Nevertheless bands like They Byrds, The Jefferson Airplane, and Fleetwood Mac that reunited their classic line-up went on to make more great music and live performance. I think when the guys careers (especially Harry's) starts to wane it would the perfect time to bring them back together, put out a double album with a wide range of songs, all five write a big hit single, and do a world tour. That would give them a second boost to their solo music. Looking at the Beatles as inspiration it took about 5 solo albums each or 10 years before sales started to level off and so I would recommend the 2026-2028 period for them to reunite and cement their legacy.

I agree with you! After listening to their solo work I do think they could easily find a middle ground to also write music together. Even though for example Zayn's and Harry's music overall sounds much different, you can still take Matilda and Stardust, which I would say sound very cohesive one next to another - and there are endless examples. I think now that they have much more experience and have worked with other artists they can inspire each other and create amazing things together. It's not like when writing songs for themselves they were alone in the room, the majority of their songs have multiple writers on it. We know that their management was toxic to them and the only thing that kept them sane were each other and the fans which we know they love so much. We know that the guys have talked one way or another about it and even Zayn was happy reminiscing old times in the band. Once they fully heal from that trauma and are ready to be back, I just know that we will see amazing things happening.

I think it could be cool to see them come back for a one time only performance, obviously as an older group but singing some of their songs from when they were still a band as some sort of fundraiser or special event for charity! But I completely agree with you there's no way it's going to happen and it would be terrible of it did

Exactely , “whatever path their hearts should choose to take”, so all what you said during the whole video till the end doesn’t matter much. It is not going to be a full reunion, it might be only occasionally shows, not touring I think, bc they already have their own careers. But you forget to mention one important thing here. Their voices blend well with each other and they can create songs, new ones which can sound same as good as the ones before. And Zayn, since left the band left the live singing as well! He has his own genre but he felt comfortable singing with boys, for sake of truth. He s fighting that battle with anxiety that left him behind with performing. How do you think he is successful while never performing his music? I am not saying he can’t rich high notes, but what s his abilities are now? After 6-7 years of not performing? How long his career can go this way? Create music that never sings? A singer should perform! I could definitely hear Zayn perfectly duet with Niall even right now in a song together. Even their solo songs of their albums could be adapted etc. I would really love to see them together on stage, for one, two or a festival ! Not in a touring as before, they already have tours planned. Anyway, lets’ close it with what you did it: let their hearts decide the path. If they want to do it , they will, 1D fans will go crazy I think, we are living for this day. Peace !

I said this in a comment section a few weeks ago, so obviously I agree with you! Lol. I could see a collab on a song or two and think it would be awesome if one of the guys performed at another's show like with Niall and Taylor recently, but their styles are too different now and their solo careers need to be their focus. I can't even imagine any of their solo songs done as a 5 piece except I would give anything to hear This Town and Slow Hands done by 1D. Lol. I love them all, but love Harry's and Louis' music the best. I'll hold out hope for some collabs but I think the boy band days have passed them by. Maybe when they are old and have done all the things they want to do with their careers they will do a reunion tour, I just don't see the logistics right now.

i must add how bts completely destroyed the western boyband market, currently only girlgroups and kpop girlgroups chart well, bts ended the funky light hearted teenage crush trend of boygroups that 1d started, just like how jonas brothers came back in 2019 for one momentum, I feel like the same will happen w 1d, the market has severely changed and people cant solely rely on nostalgia forever. a reunion for one time would be great, but they wont last. also harry is currently bigger than 1d, I don't think its worth the risk
