Adele has been such a gift from God out of the gate. Her voice, vocal range and song writing ability are phenomenal. For me she could fit in most of the genres. She’ll have you weeping in one song, laughing in another because she’s like “you wanted her not me so treat her right” just scorching the dude and then another is like nothing she has done before. Sadly, like most women in the industry who are genuine artist, has had to put up with the Tabloid gossip even when she takes a step back for time to live her private life, she has been weight shamed, bullied by rude media saying things about her looks, a divorce where again people just had to keep trying to pry, wanting to raise her son as privately as she can (I can’t believe that he is already 11), and most recently media saying that she is over because she has not been winning awards (she does not do it for the awards, she does it because she loves it and her fans... but it is nice to win and be recognized. Lately, it’s oh she’s jealous of Taylor Swift, no, what she said was that she wanted to get to go to the concerts but she had to be at hers performing and laughed about it. She has been accused of being jealous when she does not win and does not act nice to the winners. Total lie... Lizzo proved that with her video at the awards where Harry Styles won, when actually she was trying to stand up but her dress got caught and that was the face they showed..., plus Lizzo was so excited for Harry she was tapping Adele so much telling her that Harry has hugged her... she was so funny in that video. Three years non-stop performing, has got to take it’s toll and she just wants to have a rest. Maybe she’ll work in new music or just enjoy spending time with friends and family. She deserves to take a much needed break. She has always dressed so classy and then turn around cussing because that is where she came from. She is just being real. I do hope that she has found love and that they get married if they want to, if they don’t, not our business. If she wants more children, I hope she is Blessed with however many she wants. I don’t think breaks are a bad thing. Everyone needs to rejuvenate. This is not the first time and when she comes back it is always epic. I read some moron writing that she is too old to take a break and it will kill her career. Age has nothing to do with it. Her fans will still be around. Taylor has done amazing things after a six year hiatus. The music industry is just so toxic these days. They have to pit these women against each other which should not happen. Of course I would love for her to put out another album, but I’m not going to write her off. She, Taylor, Beyoncé and others will still be around and still be doing it their way and doing well long after people have tired of the gimmicks of Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigues and some of these young girls who to me are destroying what the “me too” movement was about. Sabrina acts like a child and copies the character of Juliette Barnes from the tv show Nashville with her little innuendos, inappropriate lyrics for the age group and clothes that are barely there. She does not need the gimmicks because when she actually sings instead of making life comments to music, her voice is beautiful. She is beautiful. Tone down the hair and makeup, quit with the trying to stun by kissing girls (nobody cares... it’s been done) move and just dress in clothes that fit. Olivia is just doing anything and everything to be famous and does not seem to really care about the music as much as the fame or stirring up drama to be in the headlines. There are artists out there trying to make their dreams come true and true ladies like Adele and Taylor is what they should aspire to be. They stand up for themselves and fight for everything they have while supporting other artists and especially women. These others need to do the same. That’s what I will miss about Adele while she takes a break is her wisdom, her work ethic, her sassiness but a smart business women who is not taking any more mess people throw at her. I do hope she has a wonderful rest and then comes back if she wants too! The young girls of today need more like her, Taylor, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, Avril and a few others.

Artist have to rely on touring now to make up for the losses due to streaming services. If you go back to the days when CD's were sold they made $15 per CD they didn't have to do so many live performance ticket prices were lot cheaper. Adele's show in Vegas starts at $2500 a seat the artist burns out faster touring and live performing is lot more work.

Her concerts aren’t usually 3k in the presale they’re usually way less but now her tickets are being resold for thousands bc we know it’s Adele’s final concerts for a long time so people are raising the prices

What you don't seem to understand, is that it really Isn't a 5 yr break. In the interim of her break, she was, & will be again, writing songs, & then recording them BEFORE she goes out on tour again. And that process takes a good 2 yrs. The songs don't write, sing, & record themselves! Touring & living on the road for 3 yrs is Very tuff! Artists NEED that time to just live their life, and get recharged, in order to get those creative juices flowing again, otherwise they WILL burnout permanently.
