Christianity is taught to us from birth by our parents and communities. It is really difficult for people to walk away from it because it uses a combination of fear and reward. It is especially appealing to people who do not see a way to prosper within their own power. Those people need something supernatural to put their hope on.

I've been wondering how your name is pronounced. Ndagire...nah-gee-ray. I love it. I actually really love that name and it's pronunciation. I was born in the the Caribbean and live in the United States. My brothers and I all have African names. Nnamdi Azikiwe is mine. Nnamdi meaning "I am my father or, Father's name lives on." Azikiwe, meaning "Vigorous, Strong , Burly" I was named after the first president of Nigeria. I am the youngest of 3 boys and it's incredible to think that nearly 46 years ago my father had the presence of mind to give my brothers and I names that reflect how we look and what we are. Africans. Instead of names like James or John or Christopher, or Sergio, or Abraham, or Zohaib or Dontavius.......names that reflected the image of European, or Asiatic men but rather names that reflect our Western and Central Bantu or Bantu adjascent lineage. I could not be happier that my father did that because when i say my name, there isn't a white man, or a Jew, or an Arab that can think that his culture is imprinted on my personal identity because I'm not walking around calling myself one of his names. There certainly is power in names. I live in NY. I had a meeting yesterday where prior to signing into the building where the meeting was held, I had to call in to set the appointment with the secretary. I walked into the building, handed the white lady at the desk my ID. First thing she said to me was "Oh....You're Nnamdi?? I remember your name. Its unique" I was also raised in a non-religious household. My parents in their youth were religious but as they grew older, they, especially my father did away with it after coming to the conclusion that the Abrahamic God we as black people are made to serve, does not serve us. "Slaves obey your masters masters?" Nah! 😂 The "word" was given to Abraham in Hebrew. Hebrew is a Semitic, Afro-Asiatic language with roots stemming out of Africa around the area of the horn and into Asia. Hebrew has it's linguistic and phoenetic roots in Bantu languages. Not the other way around. In other words, they come out of us. We didn't come out of them. People are putting the horse before the carriage here. Africans had their own spiritual practices LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG before there was ever a man named Abraham. Anyhow, again, always a pleasure. I actually really look forward to seeing your uploads and am looking forward to seeing your channel grow...nah gee ray..😂 Love it! Guidance, Love an Protection be with you mybdear sister

Thank you, my Ugandan queen. You are both beautiful and smart. Very rare. Thank you for saying it. I grew up in a Christian family in kenya. I asked myself lots of questions about Christianity when I was kid but was afraid of "going to hell". After much research, I realised that Christianity is a lie and evil. Eg. How can God advocate for slavery (Leviticus 25:44-46)? It is sad that many Afrikans are mentally colonised, mostly through religion.

Hello. I am from Los Angeles California in the United States. As a "Black American" I have to say that I am a Christian and from what I am hearing you guys saying is that you are being taught the opposite of what we here in America are practicing. Yes it is taught that you should turn the other cheek but only in certain situations. We here in America as Black People know that we are from Kings and Queens from our home land but being now born into Christianity also know that Jesus was black and the son of God. The Bible teaches we have to ask for Wisdom and Understanding of all things around us so we can see what is coming for us to hurt us and be able to recognize it and act accordingly. Weather we should run from it or stand up and confront and fight it. We Blacks here know the struggle of our past and are angry about it but we move on and it is told in the Bible. We pray and ask for our Father to help us be better people for ourselves and our families. We pray because it is demanded of us but just because you pray does not mean you just sit around and wait for it to come true. For the Bible explains it that prayers without works is DEAD. Which means you have to go out and chase what you are asking God for. And at the end when you get it. You thank God for Blessing you with what you have asked for. Letting WS people walk all over you is not what this is all about. For most you are a grown man and woman you deserve respect from the people around you no matter who they are. And as a Child of God if anyone dares to hurt you in any way Their punishment will be severe because No One is allowed to touch a child of God. I myself am a witness to this. Once you except the Kingdom of Heaven and except That Jesus Christ died for your sins and was raised from the Dead you shall be saved. But not to be confused about this statement. You have to now live a life approved unto God. But this is not easy because we are sinners by nature, we are Born into it. But must deny it as we become more intuitive about the word of God. So you must study His word. Now as for using His word for the segregation of others, there is the word in the Bible that explains this. And it says that many people will come in my name and deceive many but my seep who know me will not follow these men for they come as Wolfe's in sheeps clothes to still, kill, and destroy. (who do you know that fits this description) but the ones who endure till the end shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. So in other words what you want in life just like to go to your parents and ask for things you have to go to God in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for things because only through him your prayers can be answered. We here in America, yes we allow bad things to happen to us because that is our nature just like it is your nature there to let the WM get away with things they should not be getting away with. But. There will come a time when you need to say enough is enough. As we have done here in my country. We are waking up to things that we now are saying enough is enough and are getting prepared to do something about it. Just because we are Christians doesn't mean we are cowards. We are a dominant people and when we release our anger on you you will know you have crossed a line of no return and will be deleted for this action. Just as in the Bible when God sent a small army to delete a large one because they were going against His words. And He wanted His people to have the land that they deserve. So He deleted nations of bad people in order to bless His children. This is a small part of being a Christian I don't know if you will read this. Because I have never seen it done but I hope that you do and maybe you can pick up the book and read for yourself and spread the teachings of it. And make your continent a Better place for all. Because we are one people and not this people and that people. God bless you. And may I say that you are one of the most Beautiful ladies I have seen in a long time. I am currently taking to an Nigerian lady and I don't want to disrespect her. But my dear I love your skin color and you have a beautiful smile and personality. And I wish you well. ❤️

Hello. If it is OK I would like to say I have read the Bible cover to cover. Have been in church since age 8. Some of the best most fun times of my life. I think one thing that you should maybe try to remember or think about is that the Bible was translated to English by racist white men not that long ago a few hundred years ago try to remember what that mind looks like. I don't believe we need a book to tell us how to live how to treat one another. all other species don't need books to tell them how to live but we do 🤔I am not saying that you should not believe what you want because I would never allow anyone to say that to me I trust only my answers. I believe it is a creator I don't think that they want us to feel bad about ourselves we didn't even make ourselves had nothing to do with inside or out. No disrespect intended much love💓

People are afraid to detach from religion because they think that they have to be attached to something. The truth is within you, though. Not in a religion. Many of us are only in religion because our parents made us when we were children. But why were they in religion? Same reason for most people. That's not good enough to continue being a part of something just because you were forced to do it.

@@SomebodyComelookatThis Isiah 29:13...These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught. If I can judge you by your definition of light and darkness, then it's easy to assume that you have no light in you, just by the condescending way you responded to me, and your response to the video. It just shows that you are a self-righteous , holier than thou person with no love or empathy. Now, scripturally speaking here is what it simply means to have the light in you. Proverbs 6:18...for the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Psalm119.…Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, Who walk according to the law of the Lord. 2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart- 3 they do no wrong but follow his ways. Isiah 5:20...Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter I suggest you humble yourself and come out of the Christian church, it has a long history torture, rape, and murder of your people . The Most High has nothing to do with Christianity , it was used to enslave your people all around the world. The Bible is a history of and for black people and no, we will never forget our history. I also suggest you start reading the Bible for yourself, and stop depending on the wicked pastors to teach you, and by doing so you will gain some wisdom and maybe able to love your people which are the oppressed of the earth.

I am definitely sympathetic to the broader thesis of the video; you make some astute observations about African psychology, the internalized and undeserved inferiority complex some of us seem to carry. I just want to point out though that there is a complex history that has worked to deceive people even in the West when it comes to Christianity, that it has only now come to be seen as having "white supremacist" affiliation via syncretism, and the (Western) Europeans themselves are unconscious victims of this (as every force exerts an equal and opposite force, i.e. karma). And I suspect the same can be said of Islam, as both religions were promulgated during each respective slave trade (the Arab, the European). I hesitate to speak theologically on Islam because it is not my area of advanced knowledge, however what I can say is that both systems originated in antiquity (more or less) in the Near East, long before the idea of black inferiority was ever even conceived (itself a laughable notion, seeing as Egypt was The Place to go for any intellectual who sought after knowledge, but I digress). I highly recommend watching Professor Gilbert Morris' detailed historical analysis of the evolution of these ideas, and how they fit into the broader context of human history. I can only explicate so much in a single comment. Here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4GrhoFnbaeVhNE

It's a pathway that has helped people become the way they are, and for others, it's just storytelling of certain individuals throughout history. @@Ndagire i personally believe that religion or no religion, there are always going to be good people or bad people depending on that individual's perspective of those terms. Also, instead of talking about how harmful religion is to us Africans, we need to find books or look at history and spread awareness of what made Africa great before the majority of our countries were invaded by Europe and the middle east. Also, did you know that the name "Africa" wasn't its original name? Alkebulan was the name until it changed during the 17th century.

1. The Tanakh (Old Testament) is NOT a Christian book. Christianity only comes from the New Testament. The New Testament is false. 2. Europeans DID NOT bring the Bible to Africa. The Tanakh (Old Testament) already existed in Africa during the Medieval times, way before Europeans started colonizing Africa. Go & read about Eldad The Danite. He was an African Israelite who lived during the 9th century (851 AD-900 AD). He traveled to different parts of Africa while possessing the Tanakh.

So because white people have misused and misrepresented Jesus is any reason to reject Christ, or the teachings of Christ? You have to reach that stage in life to separate the teachings of Christ from the false teachings of those who pretend to be called by God. Ask yourself the question how did life begin, and if life was created, which book apart from the Bible gives an explanation for the existence and purpose of life? If we are going to stress our roots, then let it be truly understood that our true roots lie in our Creator who knows every detail of our lives and is the only being that is able to lift us up to where we need to be....God alone controls life and He alone is able to sustain life....

While these traditional versions of Christianity are false , The bible is not false. The bible is black history you need to watch Hebrew israelites for a better understanding. Noah, His sons, Jacob , and all the children of Israel where born and lived in Africa. The whites did not bring this to Africa it was already there. The whites picked up and changed the message of the Most High. There are several prophets throughout the bible that describes exactly what will happen on this earth and so many of those prophecies have come true. This cant be man made. It is no way a man can Predict thousands of years ago what would happen today. There are terrible preachers all over America and Africa that do not explain the prophets or tell you what the bible is about. This is the reason so many are lost.

@@Ndagire no one is pushing anything on anyone. Africans did write it. As all the original people were Africans. Europe converted to in after Constantine became Christian. You just have not had the right people to teach it to you. That's not surprising as most don't know what's in it or what it says. The prophets were not wrong with a single prophecy. Take Daniel 2:31 where he see's the beast and says these are nations. The beast has gold head, the chest and arms were silver, the belly and thighs were bronze, the legs were iron, and the feet were iron and clay. Look in secular history book and see if we did not have a silver age, bronze age,and iron age. The Assyria, followed by the Greece followed by the Roman's. Dead accuracy and they were all beast nations that committed numerous atrocities. Many more prophets like isiah, jermiah, and ezekiel and several others say exactly what was going to happen hundreds of years before it happen. Now explain this with science. How can it be man made?

@@Ndagire I understand that there are controversies surrounding religion, but I honestly don't think that that is what has kept Africa underdeveloped. I think that problem has largely to do with the leaderships in our different countries: Take for instance Rwanda that went through a Genocide; it has bounced back because of the leadership( i.e putting aside whatever else you may think of Kagame). Zimbabwe was able to rid itself of its colonizers because of leadership ( also putting aside Mugabe's shortcomings). I believe that until we are unified in actively insisting on better leaders, we will not make much progress.
