There was actually an award-winning computer program that managed to put together the world’s most accurate map. It portrays the poles as two points diagonal to each other on a plane, and wraps the hemispheres around them. It’s near impossible to use for navigation, and seems to make it hard to follow the objective location of countries, and somewhat bends the shape of land bodies, but it is the best map in existence at preserving the size and shape of countries all around.

There are many reasons why the earth would be flat but I'm just commenting on this video. if you were to look at a live video of the earth watch from NASA it show the blue atmosphere going around the earth appering round. I kinda don't get what your trying to point but it's just a comment
@peachy28006 жыл бұрын
I just thought, if the earth were to actually be flat it's orbit patters and gravity would be messed up when you think about it. How would it turn? How would the sun shine on earth? What would happen with the atmosphere?
@gunide6 жыл бұрын
Crystal Orange The videos I linked cover all the questions you have. But to abridge, the Earth Is the universe. The Earth is motionless as scientifically proven by the Michaelson-Morley experiment, Sagnacs experiment, Airy's failure, et cetera. According to Cosmic background radiation, the Earth Is the center of the universe. There are quite a large number of globe believers that know this too. As far as we know, Earth is completely devoid of motion. The Sun, Moon and stars revolve around the Earth, just as they appear, and seem to follow a nature closer to a spotlight rather than a physical object. Even before all of this Flat Earth talk came up, I always knew gravity was not scientific. I had just thought electromagnetism took its place. There is no experiment (except for the absolutely sad excuse of so called science, the Cavendish "experiment" (which could of easily been a result of either wind or static)) that proves the Theory of Gravity a reality. The reason things fall is simple and practical: Weight, Density and Buoyancy. Anyway, I'm happy you didn't reply like 99% of non-"flat earthers", who only ridicule.

Fantastic video - great presentation of the reality of maps as representations with strengths and weaknesses; have the right tool for the task - maps included.

Incidentally, this video debunks flat earth. If flat earthers wish to survey the world and project all lat and longs on a flat map, it'll never be totally accurate.

@C-Ann W The model matches up with observations. Btw, how do you explain why objects weigh ever so slightly differently from the poles compared to the equator?

IVE BEEN USING THE GREENLAND AFRICA COMPARISON FOR YEARS TO EXPLAIN WHY FLAT MAPS ARE WRONG,THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT Edit:I wrote this comment late at night when I was a bit loopy and I didn’t think it would get this many likes,thanks!

Also australia is much larger than greenland.

Also in real life Saudi Arabia is around the same size as Greenland.

Or you could just learn how to conceptualize the scaling used aptly, i.e., learn how to read and interpret these maps correctly. "Wrong," in this regard is fairly subjective; I'd argue that _potentially misleading_ is more appropriate.

@F-35B LIGHTNING II fighter jet. #BlueLivesMatter Did you respond to the wrong comment chain? We haven't been discussing that silliness. Maybe someone deleted their comment? Plenty of wallowing to be had elsewhere in the comments though. Have fun.

@F-35B LIGHTNING II fighter jet. #BlueLivesMatter Shame then, if that's the case, meeting trolls with ignorance. I suppose you can't really expect more from these sort of trendy water cooler education videos for the masses.
