Incredible Bluebird story....I’ve had my Bluebird Card since 2008....I had direct deposit of my payroll at 2 different jobs...I had a couple of bank accounts open since...Fees all over the place...I got injured on the job and was collecting workman’s comp....and depositing the payments in my bank account..after my workman’s comp was cut off...I got a settlement....After the settlement money eventually ran out...I remembered that I had some money in my Bluebird account....When I drew out the money...I had 39 cents left in my account...This was in 2017...When my old card expired....they sent me a new one with 39 cents in my account...During all that time....I wasn’t charged a penny....When I applied for the $1200.00 stimulus package through the IRS...I gave my Bluebird American Express bank account and routing number....Low and behold...The stimulus payment was deposited in my Bluebird account and they didn’t charge me a penny....This is by far...the best card/account I’ve ever had...They kept my account open with a 39 cent balance for over 3 years..no fees or hassles...The ONE drawback is that it is American Express...and not everyone accepts it...I. can work around that....But I can load cash in my account at Walmart...and withdraw cash with no fees at any MoneyPass ATM...and there’s one about a mile from my house...I love my Bluebird card....PEACE!!!!

I got a Bluebird card because my Brother recommended it to me after getting a Green Dot card due to their being no Reload, Monthly or ATM Fees. I haven't used it yet as I don't have the money to put into the card yet. But as soon as I can. i will DEFINITELY be giving it a try. The only minor gripe I have with the card is the lack of Apple or Google Pay support for it 😟

Biggest disadvantages of using AMEX Bluebird, 1.Not able to use in Uber App(Rideshare), 2.Not secure(Cards of 2019 and beyond have security chip for a reason), 3. Can't purchase online pornography with it, 4.Has limitations on buying cryptocurrenciy not widely accepted for purchasing, 5.Outdated card technology, 6. Customer service is mediocre, 7. Contacting customer service can be a challenge. Greatest advantages, designed for the consumer that wants to avoid all banks and banking with their associated fees, 1.Has a create a savings account feature(super useful), 2.Relatively little or no fees except for expedited card replacement fee of $35.00, 3.Has a about a $250,000 limit(point is there is a limit on amount can be held in the account). Hardly anything in the U.S. is completely free just because you're not paying for it directly, please read the terms and conditions of AMEX Bluebird Card. In most cases the product or service that is being offered for free comes with higher risks of some kind or an extremely undesirable disadvantages--in AMEX case that would most likely be that is not widely accepted and it not secure.

Had bank of America for 10 years they started to tack on lots of fees so I canceled that SOB. Just order this bluebird gonna try this out. I also got a credit union account it's great no fees as well but they do credit checks there if u got bad credit then bluebird sounds like the way to go.

Bluebird doesn't allow spending out of an account without the funds to support the transactions, which means that some transactions will be rejected. A bank account can be set up the same way by refusing overdraft protection.

CaballeroVille All major businesses that accept Amex. It’s a prepaid card but essentially it’s an Amex card that will process like any other Amex card.

Mine is accepted pretty much everywhere in America and yes it works in Amazon. like I'm saying I have had no issue with places accepting Bluebird except for one and that's at the brand new Circle K they have built-in my town and that's an issue on their part with that particular stores systems. Because it works at every other Circle K around. I have gotten in touch with circle k on this issue but it's not that big of a deal and hasn't slowed me down any because it works at the Marathon gas station across the street. This deal where people continue to say American Express is not accepted everywhere is becoming more of myth to me every single day at least in it is in America. Because I use it everywhere in Florida and other than that new Circle K that opened up a couple months ago I have had no problems using it. I use it at Walmart of course, Winn-Dixie, Outback Steakhouse, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday's, Chili's, McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Game stop, any Circle K selling Shell Gas, Speedway, Marathon, Gate, Red lobster, AutoZone, Advance Auto, Tractor supply, any Taco Stand using the square system, And also Taco Stands just using a regular credit card reader. I also use it on Amazon and Walmart.com all the time. So I've literally had no issue with it being accepted at places. You just run it as credit when you go to most places.

When I first got my Bluebird Card it just had my first and last name on it and I called them asking if they could do one with my first name middle initial and last name and they said Yes I just needed to fax them my drivers license or some kind of a government photo id that has my first name my middle name or middle initial and last name, current address etc on it.

WO ME you go to any Walmart, I suggest finding one that is 24hrs And find a cashier, you tell her you want to put some money on your card, you hand her the cash and she scans the card..done..and you can also go to the faq section of bluebird for anymore questions 🙂

If you link a bank account, its very simple. You enter the amount you want to deposit, press transfer and boom, it's done.

You cant have a SERVE AMEX AND A BLUEBIRD AMEX at the same time. You have to pick one or the other. They are the same but different. Bluebird has a checkbook if you need to write checks. The struggle: You order them online and they mail them to you, then you MUST either call them OR go online to get a (uuugghhh!!) mandatory "pre-authorized" 8 digit code to, (uughh!) write on the check, for additional security purposes. Funds are auto debited right then and there, so the check NEVER bounces!! (Why I have Chime, it's free and they just mail out the damn check for you after you just type in the check info on the app, funds auto debit too.) Bluebird has no monthly fee, where Serve is $1/mo without $500 direct deposit. ****AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS ARE JUST NOT ACCEPTED EVERYWHERE..... SO KEEP A VISA OR MASTERCARD HANDY, to avoid being DECLINED!!****
