Dude, just back up your droids memory and leave it in a secure place. Also encrypt and password protect the copy, and maybe label it as Gonk default or kaminoan soap operas (do not label it as Gungan porn, Jar Jar might find it) It would also allow you to upgrade your droid, imagine if he'd downloaded R2 into R3's body. And just over time R2 will eventually wear out, migrate him to a upgraded state of the art body. We've all got files on the phone or PC you're watching this on that are from previous devices. R4D2 lives again…

I have been a fan of Anakin and Rex ever since Clone Wars came out. I loved the video and your comparison to the real world at the end really hit home for me. I would be lying if I said I have not tried to adopt some of Anakin's and Rex's leadership style in the real world. This all comes from being in law enforcement inside the united states. Many times I could push forward on a problem and get right to the solution. People get offended because that means you have to be assertive or bypass those who think their title or rank means everything. In my view no one is truly above the other and we must all work together to end the evils of our world. I have saved the lives of several people because I could see the situation and I knew what to do to stop the situation even though it went against orders or policy to do so. Sadly that also means I did not directly follow what others told me to do so I became a target for removal and had to constantly explain myself over every little thing and constantly be put under a microscope. In the end, I took a bigger risk into the "grey zone" than I should have because I believed my reputation of seven years of solving issues, working hard, and the loyalty of those around me would be enough to pull me through. I was wrong, no one tried to put in a word for me to stay, no one made an uproar for the morally correct thing I tried to achieve, and all that happened was those who wanted me gone finally had their bright shining chance. So what did I do you ask? I took Anakin's approach and directly went to the problem to gather the proof and solve the issue. However before I could gather all the evidence I was placed into a wedge where I was forced to make a choice. I literally received that first golden nugget of actual hard proof with money inside it. I could turn it in now (far to early) hoping my supervisors will listen to me or risk waiting until later and be accused of pocketing the money. I decided to turn in what I had because it was at least the first hard proof I ever collected. What resulted was a complete break down of everything I tried to achieve. The people in charge exposed my actions to those involved I tried to expose and tried to get these people on petty charges for the evidence I just found. They simply would not collect my evidence and wait because their policy said they had to do it "this way". They did not care about what these people were doing or what we could catch them doing later!! So in short, during the investigation period on why I had this evidence I told them everything and gave them everything I collected over the past three years because that is what the good guy always does. The evidence I had by this point was incomplete because they would not wait and instead of getting these people on hard charges it was a slap on the wrist. The investigation team concluded I went outside the scope of my duty, outside of my training, and outside my qualifications as they put it. To them the ends do not justify the means. All the work and evidence gathering meant nothing because it was just thrown out. They said since they did not originally approve it or that I was not certified to gather it then it held no factual standing. In fact they tried to jail me instead of taking the evidence I had collected so I could jail the dirty traitors in our department I tried to expose. These traitors were literally getting people killed every year from their actions and drugs they were paid to overlook. This had been going on for a decade and no one could understand why it kept happening or why it would not go away. I wish I could be more descriptive, but if I am, than I could be thrown in jail. In the end I was given two pieces of paper. One said by signing this, you will tell us the full truth of the matter and walk away. The other one said, you have the right to remain silent and you will taken to jail pending court. I signed the first page because it was clear they were no longer on my side. I learned on that day that what you do does not matter and no matter how morally correct you are, unless it follows their policies or their chosen methods, it does not matter. I sat in a slump for two years after that because it felt like a knife in my back, I just stopped caring about anything. Loyal friends, a loyal team, years of stopping the bad guy from harming others, and a track record of a great job meant nothing in my hour of need. I thought someone or maybe even all of my coworkers I took such risks to protect in the past would come stand by my side to hear me out and not one even tried. None stood by me like I had done so many times in the past for them. The comparison at the end about Anakin and the real world really hit home for me after watching this video. Because this has reminded me why I chose to do what I did in the first place. Because I cared about those around me far more than I should have.

A charismatic leader like Anakin is easy to like and follow, especially because he places so much value on the lives and well being of those he commands. Unfortunately, his over confidence in his own abilities, lack of broader strategic awareness, and volatile disposition are all flaws that were always going to prove costly in a military leader, sooner or later.

So here's a crazy thought for Allen. I'd love to see him do an in depth series on the Animated Series Gargoyles. I know it's not the norm for Gen Tech or Gen Films. I know its Humans first and all and Gargoyles aren't Humans. But they are portrayed as protectors in the cartoon and spend most of the show allied with and protectors of humans. Also it's such a great cartoon I am enjoying this series on Clone Wars History and I'd like to see Allen tackle Gargoyles just a suggestion.

I concur that Star Wars is told from R2D2's (and a little bit of C3PO's) point of view. By that logic, Episodes VII and VIII, Rogue One, Solo, and maybe the first 5 minutes of the Phantom Menace aren't canon. Sounds about right.

So i have often wondered IMO why anikan turned. I felt that what he said was more true. The lies, or more accurate secrets the jedi kept, is what pushed him over the edge. Yes what he did for his mother and padme were also big turning points in his life of course. but i feel he would of gotten through those moments in time if the jedi order had accepted him more openly and willingly. instead they always seemed to keep him at arms length. never truely accepting him. OFC Emperor whispering in his ear all that stuff over the years didnt help either. I feel this way because of the life i had as a child growing up. I know what its like to be distant to the people you should be closest too, and have someone whispering things about them in ur ear over the years. it messes with ur head.
