No, Terrence Howard can not be trusted. Downey did not need anyone to cover his insurance by 2007. His filmography between 2003 and 2007 proves that. He was also hired for Tropic Thunder & The Soloist before Iron Man hit theaters. At least 10 films between 2003 and 2007. Howard also has a reputation for having a short temper, refusing to cooperate with directors, and for assaulting people ( including fellow cast--- look up his incident on Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Broadway play that he was kicked off of). I don't blame Downey for keeping his distance.

Before you decide who to trust, read up on Terrence Howard's history, specifically his assault history and his on set behavior. He was kicked off of a Broadway production around the same time that he walked away from Marvel. He punched a musician in the face. Downey's not the one with the bad rep, after 40 years in the business, and he didn't need Howard's help to get hired. Look at his filmography between 2003 and 2008, at least 10 films.
