You have to see this in a different light, and that is in the light of God Bishop is correct a believer has no business in any area that's contrary to Him lest God has called them to be there, indeed Bishop can go there, and minister only according to Matthew 28:19 which declares to "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." We are not to go anywhere lest the LORD tells us to go there, therefore vacationing in a place that serves others gods is not what any believer in the LORD should be doing. I saw Tabitha Brown's video a while ago, and I said this very same thing Bishop said, because that place serves another god, she had their garb on, and allowed them to put writings all over her hands, and arms in their language which she may of thought was fun, however this is not fun. We must be not ignorant of the devices of the enemy, and always be alert spiritually to what's going on.

Those states that wanted my people for commodity. I think loving people is our greatest commandment. I talk about Jesus when I vacation. I pray, sow, water, my Father does the increase. I lived in the UAE for 7 years. The UAE is the country where the Emirate of Dubai is located. Christians are allowed to worship freely. It was actually easier to follow God there. The work day was shorter, easier to attend services on the weekend, and meet in small groups during the week, no taxes, so more disposable income to donate to the Kingdom. Easier to find modest clothing. Of course it is not perfect, but a good place for a devout Christian to live

I urge Bishop Wooden to visit Dubai and the UAE. I've been twice and the people are welcoming and it's incredibly safe for everyone. There are churches, even a predominately black church, and plenty of Christians live there freely. I visited the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and was treated warmly as a Christian. I had a similar experience in Jordan and Turkey, both predominately Muslim countries where there are plenty of Christians.

When I read the Bible God commands us to keep his commandments laws and statutes the same ones he gave to the Israelites from Mount Zion with the exception of animal sacrifice since Jesus was that sacrificial lamb. The scripture state that sin is a transgression of the law in the New testament a man came up to Jesus and asked him how he would obtain eternal life Jesus simply told him keep my commandments. When did Jesus give commandments? Back in the Old testament. That was Jesus in the Old testament he was known as Jehovah. Look at all the different denominations and levels of Christianity the scripture says God is not the author of confusion. Satan is very involved with religion too many it may not seem like it. But a lie is mixed with the truth in false doctrines are put on the table some were created yesterday and some have been around for centuries. Bishop Wooden like a lot of other Sunday preachers I'm not hating on him but the teachings come up short many things are left out one of the biggest ones Sunday preachers avoid the book of Revelation like a plague and they never talk about or better yet warn us about the coming time of the Antichrist who the Bible calls the abomination of desolation the false prophet his time is up on us it is around the corner. So one may travel to different Islamic countries and people may be kind and courteous but know this my friend things will change and they can change on short notice. Men will often withhold their barbarism and wildness if there is lucre money flowing good living and materialism going on. But when those things are taken away and people are scrambling for bread crumbs both figuratively and literally I wouldn't want to be there when it happens. Just returned from the UAE for my third visit. Why would you not go? It's a great country to visit. There are dozens of churches in Dubai, including Baptist, Evangelical, Pentecostal, and predominately black churches. The country was built on tolerance and enshrined religious liberty in its constitution. The UAE is NOT Saudi Arabia nor Israel where Christians have historically been persecuted.

I think maybe part of the point he's making about Dubai is what I notice of a lot of cultures in the eastern world. Their religion is a part of their culture. It's not like that as much here. Their practices tend to be intertwined in everything they do regarding living. So what we may see as just a nice massage and tour through the temple, is a type of spiritual practice to them. I see what he means when he says he won't vacation there. I'm not saying I wouldn't ever go but I would definitely pray about it but I pray about everything, even a weekend trip. If I don't have peace about decisions, I make a different decision. This is where it's important to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit so that your discernment regarding decisions is high and you can be in line with what God wants you to do.

Fair point! But I don't think he primarily argues against people "going there." He even mentions that he would go there with someone one day. It seems like he is dealing with "vacationing there," which is aimed at heart, motive, and spiritual awareness of idolatry. Basically, you can go, but don't be ignorant of the spiritual realities that exist and that you fund by spending a lot of money. People may have different convictions, but one of the enemy's most effective tools is convincing people, especially God's people, that "it's not that big of a deal." Very similar to the Garden of Eden. The enemy said, "It's just an apple, you won't surely die."

To answer your question @smoovay I can’t speak for the preacher about the other locations you’ve listed but I hear what he’s saying about Dubai. It’s a country that was described originally as a sleepy fishing village then there was oil and in the last few decades I believe it was created to be an opulent place where a lot of the country ‘s income comes from not only oil but trade, expensive real-estate and especially tourism. They’ve made a real concerted effort with their tourism being a place for shopping and luxury. If we are Christians then what the preacher is saying is correct unless it’s for missionary purposes why would any blood bought, spirit filled Christian want to go to a man made country that is against Jesus as the son of God? The other countries you’ve mentioned are natural places created by God and many of those nations may be Islamic but they are not man made place like Dubai which even orchestrates rain fall through crowd seeding. So the pastor saying this is akin to him saying that he wouldn’t go to Las Vegas aka Sin City. He might vacation in Nevada but specifically in Las Vegas - in a place that outwardly doesn’t honour God? NO! Excuse my basic analogy I couldn’t think of another one. We can also consider principalities that cover specific regions too. So I can see why he’s not advocating for Christians to holiday in Dubai. As you asked I thought I’d reply at the end of the day it’s what the Holy Spirit convicts any of us to do or not to do. 🙂 Edit: elsewhere someone queried what Las Vegas was built in the glory of. My reply to that comment was mammon - money, greed, gambling etc. I’d also venture to say although it may not have been the origin intention by the 50s or 60s it was built on excess so much so it’s also known as Sin City with its own catchphrase ‘What’s done in Vegas stays in Vegas’

If we vacation anywhere we need to check out the vacationing place first. We as Christians if we know who Dubai is dedicated to and decide to go anyway, then we have to realize that there will be consequences just like anything else we do and know about it beforehand and do it anyway.

Perhaps that wasn’t the original intention for the place but that’s what subsequently happened. Now that’s its reputation for money and excess. Even with its own catchphrase ‘ What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’. What was happening that it had to be a secret? Clearly nothing good.

I have been to Dubai several times for vacation and was married in Dubai in GODS church. This so called pastor probably isn’t HOLY! God said be holy. There is no where in the Bible that has ANY religion. As long as you are holy when you are traveling. What is the issue?

I recently visited Dubai. It wasn't my choice for a vacation, but I joined in on a planned family trip. I made alternate plans from the group so that I could attend church. It was a true blessing! I hear what the bishop said, but honestly, how can we know if the hotels we stay in were erected to glorify a false god? There was one concerning thing mentioned in Dubai. Although there are plenty of denominations there, evangelism is frowned upon. I was told the attitude is extremely liberal about practicing ones own faith; but keep it to yourself. I still need to ask my Christian friends living over there if that conflicts with the mission of Christianity

I am going to Dubai, Lord willing soon. When I went last year, I asked the Lord to lead me to people who needed biblical guidance. A lot of christians from all over the world work there and have very little time for church. I helped a lot of people, reminding them of the coming of the Lord. Many were grateful. I managed to stay in contact with 2 of them. The huge problem in Dubai is that they have allowed the tourist to enter into their country practically naked.for the sake of money. SHAME ON THEM. It will probably be the last time I go there.
