Yep. It's corporatism. Big Business holding hands with Big Government. Small business is the number one enemy. Coronavirus hurts small business the most, knocking out the competition so Amazon, Walmart, Google, etc can grow bigger. Corporations, run by elitists (or as they see themselves "our betters"), are effectively government agencies who then donate millions to activist organizations (BLM, etc) in order to pressure "social change" for a Progressive Fascist agenda (Equality of Outcome) thus bypassing Democratic Republicanism e.g. the voice of the people, - or as they see them "the ignorant, unwashed masses".

I've said it many times before and I'll likely say it until I die: the wealthy NEED poor people to remain poor in order for their wealth to remain 'wealth.' Money does not buy goods and services. That's an illusion. They are one and the same. Goods and services are brought to market through human hands and human will. Doesn't matter if you're paying for a massage or the oil used in the massage -- neither is there without the human beings paid to provide. And as such, money only buys one thing. Labor. It buys the will of the people. Plain and simple. And when you look into how and why this is the case, you see very clearly that poverty is the strongest tool available to force people to do your bidding. It's VERY difficult to convince the man who has everything to waste his life away at a factory. They can afford to decline. But it's easy to convince a poor man to take that same job as it's better than their alternative of nothing. We can see all around us this one truth: the will of a person is much cheaper when they're poor. And as a result, poverty is leveraged against the public to allow the wealthy to remain powerful. Because they're truly interwoven. After all, the power of the wealthy exists solely in that pocket. The power of their wealth IS the ability to buy the will of others. That's what wealth does. That's what it's for. And so by assisting the common man and distributing wealth to those "in need", you're not only reducing your own labor pool and reducing the money you have, but you're also reducing the POTENCY of the money you do have. Because if you can no longer convince the public to perform for you, your wealth no longer matters. As such, there's an inherent interest in sustaining the potency of that wealth. It just so happens to come at the cost of the general population. It breeds corruption in and of itself. Edit: of course humanity is more complex than that. But in an open capitalist market, the motivation to perform labor is born of two specific circumstances -- either a desire to perform that labor, or a desire / need for the payment 'earned' through the labor. In simpler terms, a person will work because they like the work and they want to do it, or because they like and or need the compensation for doing so. That need for compensation is an incredible tool for the wealthy. Because even in a utopian circumstance where everyone is performing a job they love, you as a wealthy man can't be certain that all of your favorite services will be provided. You can't control a market driven to fruition solely through desire. But with enough poor people desperate for compensation, suddenly all markets can be easily maintained. And you get to capitalize even more on the wealth disparity. So unfortunately for the common man, there are many reasons why it remains in the best interest of the ruling class to maintain poverty. And as such you can be certain that it's engineered on some level.

@I gRape Babies Carl Jung famously described the relationship between consciousness and unconsciousness as "compensatory". Basically, one can have the power to dominate the other, when it comes to behavior. I personally think you are entirely correct to say that both always live in co-existance, yet consciousness would be useless, if it wouldn't also have a word to speak, when it comes to our behavior. And why shouldn't we be able to develop consciousness' compensatory power? Sure, there will always be a point, in which the unconscious can take control over the conscious, like breathing while drowning, but the difference between a disciplined and a non-disciplined person is as massive as remaining calm for several seconds with a piece of glowing coal in your hand and literally falling into a rage-induced temper tantrum, because someone on twitter disagrees with you. Even though we can never be 100% rational, we can sure have a monstrous impact on how close we can get to it. I wouldnt call that "side by side only". Its not just "only", in my opinion. The difference can be night and day!

Black comminuinties continue to struggle becasue bad schools and little to no economic oppertunities which are carry overs of Jim Crowe laws and various other legislation, that while being scrubbed from the books offers, no work was done to help build them up. Honestly we as a society need to accept this fact and do what we can in trying to bring better education and businesses to these communities, maybe through the use of tax breaks for businesses and spending more on education instead of the militarization of our local police. But also people need to not resort to looting and rioting as all they are doing is hurting themselves, and for the love of god stop listening to social activists who are only seeking to enflame racial tensions so they can justify their existance, as all that will do is scare away any chance of people trying to work on helping these communities... just my opinion.

At least on the left someone like Sanders or Yang can put points on the board and challenge the other wings of the left's political party. At least there's a debate. On the right? Even questioning the distribution of income and lack of income mobility compared to other countries is sacrilegious.

Agreed. They never really showed that these big companies want to divide the country though. They really just argued that these companies are indifferent to social causes and will posture to the left if it means they can go on with business as usual. Placating the side that is generally more dubious of big corporations makes sense. I think we also have to accept there can be people in these corporations that do sincerely sympathize with leftist causes but somehow don't see themselves as part of the problem. Social media extracts surplus value in the form of data generated by us, the users. Sites will then sell that data (our labor) to turn a profit. It is exactly as Marx describes but worse because we do not earn a wage for the value that we create. The trick is that we are both the workers and the consumers, and that is the only reason using social media is free, because the users create the value. (I guarantee 95% of anyone reading this does not want to work 8-10 hour shifts and would like to be able to stay at home to work on that one home project they haven't been able to get to BECAUSE THEY HAVE A JOB) The enemy of humanity around the world is corporation. I think the American protests of today are young being being misled by these same corporations. (as evidenced here by Mr. Saagar). Everyone understands the plight of the modern Black Community, cause we're literally all living in the same class and see it frequently, and hell may even be guilty of unwittingly participating in this. That this system does specifically harbor prejudice towards blacks, because of historical prejudices that are just at the sub-strait of political and communal structure by means of white people cloying for their families own class, not race. Just so happens white people are the majority so they're forced into this racial class division despite harboring no actual ill-will based on color. Shit rolls down hill. The majority: obv whites, have the largest weight and are trying to get their head above the cloud of stench. And they're more likely to get that whiff of good air. Unfortunately the weight of just simply being a majority weighs on the minorities who share the same pit.

His point is that the corporations are diverting the conversation to race instead of class/corporate power in the marketplace and politics. That we can help everyone if we start talking about the way they treat their workers and preventing them from continuing with unethical business practices. She followed by saying race and class are inseparable and then went on to take the BLM approach, which is the same approach major corporations are taking, moving the focus back to race, while acknowledging his viewpoint. They aren’t diametrically “opposed”, as someone said, but she did in fact dismiss the point of what he was talking about to move the focus back to race. I laughed when she was saying “not a left company”. Woman! This is exactly where politics comes in with a company! The left focuses the conversation around identity politics, while the right says, you’re missing the bigger picture or the root of the problem. The companies like that the conversation is focused around identity politics, as it’s not on the real issues, which allows them to make more money at the expense of their worker’s. OF COURSE IT MAKES THEM A LEFTIST COMPANY! The politics of the whole thing is EXACTLY what makes them a leftist/regressive company. Push the feel good politics and public relations stunts to keep focus from the real issues. I said it in another clip of a different part of this discussion, and I’ll say it again, this woman is so disconnected... the lens she’s looking through to view the issues is always, “Yes, that’s a good point, let me continue to bring back the identitarian perspective that you just debunked/shut down with your argument, but yes I agree with you.” Nah, you just dismissed the argument and said I agree. It’s like, I’m about to bulldoze your homes, let me hear what you think... Okay, I hear your concerns about why that’s not a good idea, and they’re very good points, so let’s bulldoze your homes.

Good points. Conservatives who are fed up with 'identity politics' - take note. marxist based class politics is actually the deeper level here.
@ufodeath4 жыл бұрын
Finally someone gets it. It's really silly seeing how many conservatives here who say this guy is spot on, are essentially agreeing with a critical aspect of Marxist analysis - the very thing that they have been brainwashed to think that PROMOTES identity politics. It's just plain ridiculous how so many conservatives are so foolish as to get their info about other ideologies and philosophies from right wing radio and youtube personalities, and refuse to actually get themselves educated on things they could very well find serious value in, but only if they put down propaganda and pick up a book, maybe listen to some marxist lectures for once. I honestly think it's past most of them.

@@ufodeath Marxism does indirectly promote identity politics, as the followers of Marxism place a higher value on the group identity and which group you're a part of, as opposed to individual identity. Marxism is a fairly daft ideology though, as it's been proven demonstrably that that way of thinking doesn't translate at all into the macro scale

The argument that Donald Trump is a racist is my best example of this that I repeated point out to my friends. I have heard many good and bad things against him coming up in my life but I was not prepared when the MSM flipped the switch one day in 2015 one day and he was suddenly the pre-eminent Racist Overlord of the USA. Growing up, people either liked, hated or were just aware of Donald Trump for most of his career, yet I can't recall him being depicted this way even when he had public spats with Obama. Then one fateful elevator ride at Trump Tower and suddenly, "everybody" just agreed he was this big racist asshole. I mean he is an asshole but racist? They didn't even try to convince people they just said it. Repeatedly. Every day, on every station and too many people just accepted it as a fact. Mind boggling!
