WHY are Kdramas so Popular ALL Over the World? | Korean Drama

‘Hallyu’ or the ‘Korean wave’ is South Korea’s most significant cultural sensation. South Korea’s dramas are globally popular and we are all aware of that. Here are some of the reasons why Korean dramas are loved by people all over the world.

Hahaha. They're superficial as hell. Koreans just learnt how to engage you with menial plot devices just like how real life tea and drama engages you. Most of them have problematic narrative and people acting petty as hell.

K2 was excellent, whats wrong with secretary kim was very good, i greatly enjoy them, Mr Sunshine i enjoyed greatly and many others, nice clean dramas. Coffe Prince, oh my, i just love gong yoo, Loved Vagabond and Goblin, Train to Busan a tear jerker was very very good, I have wTched many others

Korea’s response to Anime?

I really don't understand why Kdramas are so popular. Particularly, I think at least 90% of the audience are girls, since there is a romance where the couples get to know each other and it builds that "first love of my life" thing, where girls feels attached to it and start to cherish small moments and cheer to them as they would in their real life relationship. No nudity, sex or violent scenes might come as one of the reasons for it too, as I heard some adult female friends not being so happy about it in western shows... I'll go to episode 5 of Vincenzo now, still fighting as hell to watch my first Kdrama and most of the time I just want to smash my head repeatedly in the wall. I'll be back when I finish it.
