We've had the biggest stock bull run in market history from 2009 until now. Looking at Price Earnings ratios adjusted for inflation(Cape Ratios) we are more over priced than the 1929 peak and almost even with the 2000 tech bubble peak. The year after a presidential election year is historically not good for stocks. Better to be more defensive and park some money in T-Bills or T-Bill etf equivalents.

I invested heavily in gold in late 2023. It wasn't about gold going up but about it not going down in a very adverse context after nearly 20 years of consolidation. So, when the context would shift to gold favorable (weak USD, rate cuts, geopolitical turmoil, and liquidity being pumped into the system, just look at what China is doing...), gold would shift gears. Even with ATH breached, it still is not a mainstream investment, at least not in Europe. I don't see it on the news, nor do my barber or friends talk about it as they did about Bitcoin and Tesla. But go back to the 70s and 80s and there were a ton of gold shops in every street. It is in China or India. Still trying to figure out the US (I read about Costco selling off those gold bars, but is it representative of US mainstream consumers?). If the Western mainstream people get into gold, we might see something like the 70s parabolic run. 5k in 2 years seems plausible to me, but what do I know. Do you Americans feel the average joe talks about gold? Just curious. Happy investments!
