Socialism appeals to women because it champions, or claims to uphold, things that women's nature tends towards: empathy, consensus, harm avoidance, categorisation

Yes it appears to champion kindness and equality. History shows it is a smoke-screen created by the resentful and ruthless to seize power and wealth at the expense of all other citizens. In the west we often complain of a 1% who are very wealthy - but we have another 95% with varying degrees of prosperity. In a socialist state you have 0.5% of the population (communist party grandees) living like kings and the remaining 99.5% are equal because they all live like paupers.

Because of financial ignorance and expectation that those who work the hardest for their money (mostly men) to pay for everyone else.

Socialism, woke, social justice are all things that appeal to women more than men in my experience. Not to say there aren't men out there that support these ridiculous ideas, just women make up a larger number.

There are strong arguments for transparency and accountability here,but somewhere along the line there's a bait and switch and this gets handwaved as 'freedom and liberty' What freedom do we need to stop our school roof from collapsing?

in theory maybe. but let them be on the receiving side of socialism then we can ask them if they still believe in socialism.

It's a great shock to me that many (not all) women I know believe in Leftist ideals & socialism. What I learned about socialism is that there is no incentive to work harder to achieve; you're stuck at whatever pay scale you're in. Why work harder when you'll still be paid the same? The dreamy thoughts of socialism in America will not be the friendly socialism those hugely taxed countries have to support it ... But an aggressive totalitarian rule where we become slaves who will own nothing & be happy. (???) And they've told you this! Only a monk could own nothing & be happy.
