I think the main problem is that there is no proper budgeting and estimation in pre production stage and hiring of good executive producer or financial manager is not done and all the amount is given to the stars or other department just like that Bollywood doesn't even hire good screenwriters finance tho dur ki baat hai

People forget. Half the budget goes on big stars and marketing. Don't watch films where they spend in excess of 100 Cr. Of which if actors fees are the highest cost, then don't even think of watching. Following this is the marketing costs. Also, we need laws to share the capital budgeting of movies with public. Unlike Manufacturing there is no essential secrets or state secrets in the financing of movies.

SRK has immense respect for Yash Raj. He was the reason why he become so popular and he is still grateful of Yash sir. That's why I guess he hesitant to ask for fee. Another time SRK showed his humbleness is when Kamal Hassin requested him to do a role in Hey Ram. SRK did but didn't request for any money. No wonder why everyone praise him.

@@shivamgusain5185 And, is this your first time? Are you new to the movie business? 😐 The movie had nothing in it even SRK knew it. It literally worked bcs SRK was the brand. He understoods the script is sub par but gonna earn max. So took his chuck. Actors do know which movies they need to do solely for money and which they r actually passionate about. Amitabh Bacchan gave a free cameo in a Bihari movie bcs it was directed by his ex-crew member. So out of respect he didn't charge anything as it was small budget movie. Big B did Ganpath and Kalki but look at difference how he treats both movies. It's clear ,one he did for money while in another he enjoyed being part of it. Ranbir Kapoor reduced his fee for Bramhastra so that Ayan can spend more on bringing unavailable vfx technology in India. There's many anecdote like that. Actors are human like us. They hv their desire and belly to feed. When they see the script is respecting their artistic side they happily & humbly do it whereas if the script is bad they go with it bcs they hv mouths to feed.

Actors should also not charge alot in a new franchise, for example tiger should charge alot of baaghi 4 but not for ganapath, akshay should charge alot for hera pheri 3 or welcome 3 but not for other movies, that is what happens in US, for example even though keanu reaves was a famous actor, he charged only 1M$ for first john wick (which is only about 5% of the films budget, but he charged much more for JW4, High time bollowood actors realise, that they are not the crowd puller, their character is, for example i assume that even if they take new comer for something like bhool bhulaiya 3 and make it on a small budget of like 20cr, it will still pull the crowds and make a guarenteed profit
