Abuse is not use. Running my JP23 in phoenix and somedays the bass knob says 136 degrees... when using it it cools in about 20 mins to under 90 degrees. Don't run low ohm loads and push everything to the max and heat wont be an issue. These are good amps... Will def get my business again, I promote using them to all my customers 👍

Maybe you can start including spacers with your amps. Atleast an added option from the dropdown menu for extra few bucks.

Bought a JP95 and absolutely love it! I really think most people don't wire up systems properly or understand WHY it's important. Good wire and caps/batteries are pricey and add to the build more then the average installer is mabye prepared for or has little knowledge of. These are amazing amps for people that want high quality equipment at a price point they can afford!

Yea everytime I change something around I have to pull up a diagram to make sure I get the series/parallel wiring correct. It's so basic and I mostly remember how to do whatever I want to do but I have to double check and sometimes I make mistakes. Everyone else I know that has owned a system didn't know shit but would happily pull it apart, and move some wires around, and jus goof with their stuff trying to get more bass lmao That's pretty much the most simple thing to get right yet people so often don't even pull up a Google image to learn about how to hook their stuff up before they go to plugging shit in and turning knobs lol

1. Never has my JP 33 gotten hot behind the rear seat of a ford superduty crewcab on an amp rack. Have only had 1 issue with my JP33 and the amp still played. The Bluetooth module in the amp for the bass knob failed. I'm waiting for it to get back in the next day or two to push the 12 zv6 again. D4S customer service was more than helpful and right on getting the problem fixed. Thanks D4S

I been rocking my JP43, JP234 & JP84 for well over a year now and running them on upgraded electrical as we all should. I’m in the Inland Empire which gets pretty hot and I have never not once had any failures in my system. I stand by D4S equipment! I’m totally convinced that 99% of the so called failures are User error, either an overlooked defect in the install or over driven.

I have seen a good product with all negative reviews many times, I didn't believe the reviews and ended up buying the product with absolutely no problems. It happens with products that either work or they don't like an SD card reader, if it works there is nothing impressive about it and no review is left, but any faults and everyone will do a 1 star review.

I’ve got a JP8 and had it on a 12” Savard HiQ 12” dual 2 ohm sub. I live in south Texas and quit often in the summer would see the temp on the remote show 120 degrees when I would first turn it on. Even after playing at high volumes near clipping for 30 minutes, the highest temp I EVER saw was 126 degrees. The amp was mounted under my seat on 1/2” risers to allow air flow under the amp for the fan. LOVE the JP amps and eventually will be buying more!!! Thanks JP!!!!!

I want to update this comment. I now have my JP8 in my shed connected to a 10” subwoofer running 2 ohms. The amp is mounted UNDER my work bench, upside down, mounted to the underside of my work bench. Now, I live in south Texas. For those who don’t have a clue, it is HOT down here. How hot? Well, last week it was 110 degrees here, and my shop is not air conditioned. The power for the JP8 comes from a 300 amp/hr lithium battery bank which is recharged via 750 watts of solar. So the voltage is strong. Does the amp get hot? Absolutely it does. Could this be considered abuse? Maybe. Have I had a problem out of my JP8? Not at all. It normally runs around 125 degrees, 128 if I have the stereo cranked up. Am I happy with my JP8? You better believe it!!! This amp rocks!!!

I’ve had every type of amp and it doesn’t matter if it’s designed or not designed for heavy use it will overheat if it’s hot outside and if it’s a serious Setup multiple fans and PC cooling is definitely the way. Even my 90’s setups have fans for hot days. It’s just a common sense stand point and most people don’t have it.

Well I will find out, just ordered a JP13. I'm driving two low profile 12" subs at 1ohm. My Hifonics Zeus handled them for 1.5 years before taking a poo. New Hifonics is definitely not as good as the old school VII amps. I had a series VII Boltar that drove Kicker comp 15's at 2 ohm for 5 years when I was a teenager then sold my blazer. Wish I had that old school amp back! I read good reviews and watched some great dyno videos for D4S. Hope this amp lives up to those videos and ratings!

I’ve never complained on any social platform about any product that being said had a jp43 that failed due to Bluetooth bass knob supposedly a problem with the v1 jp43. Went through the motions sent it in for warranty and it literally took 5 months to receive the amp back after getting the run around calling weekly. Oh it’s done should go out this week heard that about 8 times then the best part they told me oh it’s been done but we sent it to the original place of purchase dropping hertz then magically appeared in the Mail. Bottom line amps are great customer service sucks!! Maybe focus on that more

This may sound dumb.... but why do you not build a product that solves these issues for the average dork that wants good sound? Like build the amp with enough stand off to allow the proper airflow, and then maybe further with one with cooling fins, a shade, and a fan to force cooling? Like it seems counter intuitive to give this advice but noy build it into your own products. Am I wrong?

He may do that I. The future , but you can be sure these type of people don't accept any accountability for their install. They buy jp amp because they know it's probably the greatest amp out there but they refuse to do upgrades to assure proper function . Should jp require people to show a recipt that they have an upgraded alternator. Or no sale? No of course not!! His job is to sell a good product and give the best advice for usage , it's up to you as a buyer to do the necessary steps or you more than likely will have problems. Who are these people consulting with before undertaking such a build

Posting on Social Media is the quickest way to get a response. If you don't want them going to X, you have to have lightening fast email responses. Even then, if I have an issue I'm going to share the problem. Some companies are really good at handling issues, some blatantly lie and expect you not to realize 1+1=2. I had a 3d printer company not respond to emails about a hot end failure. It was an issue from assembly and the failure happened 3 times. The owner got pissy when I tweeted about it and said that no one else had an issue with them. He had no response to why the part that failed and needed replaced was LITERALLY the only part out of stock! Thank God for E3D V6's!

Also a JP77 and same story ZERO issues. All on clean power and kept cool. No issues. Typically people that wire in the dirt have temp issues also that put in an area with no ventilation. I’m by no means a JP super-fan but I have enjoyed the fresh product selection and great colors.

I'll say this. JP is the only person addressing any issue like this anywhere really. People don't realize, there are only a hand full of companies that make car audio components. Companies like JP go to these companies and put their name on it. D4S just chooses from a line the company likes. Then the real company that makes the amp or whatever. Just puts the name on it. It's possible that D4S amps and Memphis amps come from the same company. I just chose Memphis as an example.

Its that simple, people who ask...oh how much is that? If you have to ask, then you cant afford it, period! Then because someone cant afford the equipment or get called out on there bluff...meaning the person don't even have a car to put a system in, there just repeating what someone else is saying. Improper electrical support can fry things also. I’m not against these amps at all and they seem to be good products. I have a JL Hd1200.1 and even an xs4700 battery is not enough to supply that 1200 watt amp where I had to change a lithium battery to fully support that amp. I can only imagine how much damage can occur trying to run these amps on the fashion. The cost point is so good they think they’ll magically get all the power. This reminds of the guys running garbage oil on a new big turbo and wonder why the turbo blows up.

Hi jp I have the jp 234 & jp 84 they great amplifiers. I always use 3/4 inch nylon spacers to create space & bolt them.On any amplifier also I add 2 small fans on bottom plate of amplifier. Make circle cut out exact for 12v fan to fit in or out the amplifier bottom plate . Finally attach the 12v fan to amplifier remote so it's on when amplifier is on then off when amplifier is off .Finally add 1 amperage fuse to fan from amplifier remote just to keep within electrical code 😊. That's how you keep your amplifier running for long time. That's a great explanation jp keep the good work

Let's be real ! If you do the basic things like upping your voltage using fans ,waiting till your car cools down from natural heat build up. Using adequate batteries , you might not deserve a free replacement or rebuild maby and just maby a discounted rebuild if you are not willing to show your build to prove you made necessary provisions to protect your equipment. We all know that jp tells everyone you must do the upgrade to your electrical system. Don't let it be your fault then try and bash a excellent company. I will add this as a help to those that can do this recirculate a ac vent towards your amps to cool them down quickly in addition to fans .

mines been running for over a year just fine, except for the bluetooth. the bluetooth fkn sucks. fails to connect sometimes and requires you to take the fuses out to totally reset the amp. i had to figure that out myself, d4s sent me a new bass knob, but it did not fix the problem till i hard reset the amp. and anyone using "haters" as a serious argument is not to be taken seriously or genuine. it is a weak excuse for lack of accountability or poor character. i love the power output, but the clip light response on bluetooth is lame. never had overheating problems, its in my trunk mounted vertically with 1 inch spacers. im in ca, so i open my trunk and fan out the hot air before i start the car on hot days.

Is there a certain amount of rule of thumb for height that you should space the amps up at? Is 1/4" enough? Or are we talking an inch or whatever it may be.

If there was they should’ve put taller feet on them. A better design would allow air to flow from heat sink to heat sink

I have a JP10.4 and a JP13.2AB. I have had nothing but amazing experiences with both of them. I am looking to buy a JP63 or JP83 soon.

Just hearing this is even going to cause many people ti consider other options. Sorry to hear it man. I am getting ready to start a fresh and somewhat elaborate build in my new truck i already bought your 8" pro mids and planning on "upgrading" to d4s 4 channel and monoblock amps. Planning on seeing them run more efficiently than the Skar RP line that i have now.

Well I was using a jp13 on 4 ct sounds tropo 10s for a few months and I work offshore so my drive to the heliport is 5hrs and I play the SHIT!!!! out of it, now that being said I just ordered and installed the jp23v2 and will do the same thing. I'm very confident these amps are amazing if supplying proper power and don't just throw it on your floorboard. P.S I just need a better alternator...

I've been into car audio since the old school Liner Power, Zapco, & Sherwood days. All of my cars have had upgraded stereos installed by myself. So I decided to pick up and Installed one of these JP2300v2 with the back plexiglass facing into the car running at 2ohms pushing two 12's kicker Q-Class. This amp gets down, hits the deep low notes beautifully, runs cool and never has overhead. I previously was using a Brazilian smart 3k bass and never even came close to the power and clean output that this JP2300v2 puts out. Solid amp great product, and it shipped out immediately 👍🏼

You'd think this is common knowledge. Curious though, why not design amp with longer 'feet/legs' so it CAN'T be mounted flush to surface?🤔
