THere is a cable cross over somehwere or soldering issue. To test, take out the controller completely, then wire each colour of the strip directly to the power supply and test one colour at a time. **note black is positive when using rgb/rgbw**** so take the red cable from the power supply and wire this to the black cable from the strip, then one at a time wire ecah colour cable from the strip to the black cable on the power supply. eg, blue cable to the black negative. this way you can just test blue. and repear for red, green and white if you have rgbw

Hi There, is the red very dull? as if you have orderd a 12v power supply to work with 24v strips then only the red lights up and its very dull. So you would need to order a 24v power supply if this is the case. Alternatively, there maybe a wiring problem, its hard to say exactly unless I see a picture of your set up

for me the problem is that i have the 32ft one (day better) and one roll is turned on white but when i connect the other roll to the 2nd plug red and green works but blue isn’t lighting up so one roll is white and the other is green mixed with red with no blue to balance it out to create white for both rolls

Hiii can you please guide me how we can fix ? Actually we were installed the profile lights in fall sealing and when painter do the primer in fall sealing may be some spots going inside the aluminum pannel and due to this some of LEDs are going to glow in yellow color. Problem: RGB/RGBW strips: My LEDs are showing a different colour (full colour affected / not working) Reason: if all of all of the LED Strips colours are working other than one colour and this is the full colour along the strip not working . EG, the whole of the Red colour LEDs are not working , then there is a fault with either the soldering of the red cable onto the board, the red cable is faulty from the strip to the receiver or the connection of the red cable into the receiver is faulty / disconnected. There is no way that the Red LEDs are all faulty, as the way they are made is if a LED is faulty then it only affects the section within the cut points. Therefore the issue is around the cabling. Solution: Check the cables between the controller and the strip, especially if you have extended them check the connector block. A test would be to wire the power supply directly to the strip cutting out any extension cables and any control gear. And note that black is always positive + for RGB/RGBW. so wire the positive from the power supply to the black cable on the LED strip. Then wire the negative from the power supply to the colour that isnt workings cable. lets say the blue cable as blue is not working. At this point you should then see that the bluelights will light up, proviong that they work , and meaning you have a bad connection someone else, so then rebuild the system adding the controller and extension cables if you have them and see where the issue is now knwoing that the blue does work. If at this point theblue does not work at all, then check if the cable has come off the solder pad on the strip as this is the only reason left as to why it would not work.

OR Problem: Whenever I select colours for my RGB/RGBW strip they are all wrong Reason: You have crossed over the cables into the controller. if for example you have wired the red cable into the blue terminal and the blue cable into the red terminal on the controller, whenever you select the coluors on your controller they will all mbe mixed up and showing wrong colours to what you are selecting Solution. You must check that the cables are not crossed over and re-wire them into the correct terminals. If you have extended the cable with a cable connector you must also check that. Sometimes the cables can be touching so red and blue may be touching and you need to seperate them so the connection is pure

Hi , this sounds like you have a infrared controller for the strips and the infrared signal from your TV remote is controlling the lights also. I cant see a way to resolve that unless you change your LED strip controller. We dont supply Infrared controllers, we supply Radio frequency instead (RF) so that there can be no interfearence from other controllers.

It's because one of the resistor is faulty or damaged. You either have to replace the led roll or cut that portion off & rejoin.

I have a couple problems, first one is I have 2 lights strips connected to each other but only one of them works (the one connected to the power). Where the two strips connect together make sure the positive and negative are on the same side. Mine had an arrow on one side where they both had to face same way

Bought some LED lights off Amazon from a vendor named Gusodor, at first the lights were amazing but after a month exactly they just wouldn’t turn back on. Problem: MY LEDS ARE FLASHING Reason: If your LEDs are flashing in a regular, consistent sequence (e.g., on for 1 second, off for 1 second, then on for 1 second again), then your power supply is overloaded! This means you have too much striplighting connected to that power supply. For example, if you have 10m of LED strip that draws 5 watts per metre, the strip requires 50W in total (whether it’s two 5m strips or 10x 1m strips, it still adds up to 50W). If those strips are all powered by a 30W power supply, this will go into overload protection mode, which means it will turn on, realise it is overloaded and immediately turn back off again, then keep repeating this cycle. Solution: You may chose to get a larger power supply that can handle the total wattage required, so a power supply higher that the total wattage of all your LED strips. Or you could get another power supply of the same size as you already have, and split the strips across 2 power supplies. I’m don’t know what brand mine are but a lot of them seem similar so maybe someone can help me but basically they’re just stuck on one of the color changing modes. I know it either has something to do with the remote or the little “IR receiver” that’s connected to the “control box”. There were a few times a while ago when I was able to make the lights change to a different color by holding the little light on top of the remote to the receiver thing and tilting it around til it change but then it would get stuck on whatever color I changed it to. It shows the color of whatever button I pressed but just couldn’t change it. I’m not sure how to fix it.

An effective test would be to wire the power supply directly to the strip, thus cutting out any extension cables and any control gear. And note that black is always positive (+) for RGB/RGBW strips. so start by wiring the positive from the power supply to the black cable on the LED strip. Then wire the -ve from the power supply to the cable for the colour that isn’t working. Let’s imagine that it’s the blue cable that is not working. In such a case, you should then see that the Blue lights will light up, proving that they work - which means you have a bad connection somewhere else. With this knowledge in mind, rebuild the system step-by-step, adding the controller (and extension cables if you have them) and see which component makes the Blue lights stop working. (If at this point the Blue does not work at all, then check if its cable has come off the solder pad on the strip, as this is the only reason left as to why it would not work.)

Do you have a RGB/ RGBW set up? Sometimes when the controller is nopt paired corrently to the receiver, whatever you press it will stay on its default mode of white. Therefore you would need to pair the remote to receiver to get it to work. Its hard to say exactly without seeing your system. If you have any pictures I can help

There are remotes that if you hold the buttons down for 3 seconds they turna zone off, if hold down again for 3 seconds it turns that zone back on. Or see the pinned comment above for some good answers

Problem: MY RGB/RGBW LEDS ARE SHOWING A DIFFERENT COLOUR IN SOME SMALL SECTIONS OF THE STRIP (e.g., 100mm not working) Reason: Are your LED strips working fine for most of their length, except for one section or a couple of sections within the cutpoints of the tape? (e.g., when you select Orange, a 50mm or 100mm section shows Green only.) Well that means the Red LEDs within that section are faulty. You can easily confirm this - if you set the strips to just Red then on that section they will be completely unlit, and if you set to Purple that section will show Blue only. RGBW LED strip with a faulty circuit section (dry joint) This can be very confusing when you install your first LED project and see these colours not matching. But the answer is simply that one colour of the RGB/W LEDs is not working within that section and needs replacing. This can be caused by static-electricity damage, or bending and twisting the strip too much, or being trod on, damaged in transit, a cheap poor-quality strip, or dry solder joints. LED strips are made up of 50mm / 100mm sections (sometimes other sizes), and wired in a way that means each section is a discrete, enclosed circuit (in other words, if a LED or resistor is damaged it will only effect the section of strip within the cutpoints). If the complete section between cutpoints is not working, this is a very similar problem to a damaged LED or resistor - most likely caused by a dry solder joint. Solution: In most cases here the only option is to replace that section of the strip. You can do this by swapping the full strip. Or you can get another, say for example, 100mm section and solder this in - or you can use connector clips to clip in a new 100mm section. Before taking this step, it’s worth attempting to touch or press down on the LEDs/resistors in the faulty section - in the best case possible, you may see that the light miraculously comes back on; in this case the problem is a dry solder joint, and if you’re capable of soldering you can repair this strip! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYqQqKqip857p7M

so i got daydream lights, and the first strip lit up and i was able to change the color, but the second one also lit up but wont change color. please help i cant find a video about this

mine are all the same color but as it goes along it gets dimmer so when the beginning and the end meet up they are two different shades of the same color. what's wrong?

i have three strips i connected them and only one turns on but i tested all three of them before i put them up and they all turned on so i’m confused

Mine just keep turning onto the strobe effect on they’re own, I’ll change it to a colour on the normal settings then 30 seconds later it just turns to the strobe effect, I only got them today as well, do you know why this is?

for mine i cant set diy colours, can only change the brightness down or up once then i have to disconnect then reconnect them, and a certain 3 lights on my strip are a different colour, *help me*

i’ve had a problem with mine for awhile i changed the battery in the remote but it won’t work? my led’s are plugged on but when i try to use the remote to change to other colours it stays on green, trying to turn it off with the remote it stays green and trying to turn it on its still green?? so i’ve just turned them off completely on the wall

I just bought lights on Amazon and when I try to do lighter colors (white, pink) the lights are all different colors. For example, when I try to do white a lot of the lights will be hues of green or blue. I have no idea what to do. I would just get new led lights but I’m scared they will rip the paint off my wall or leave adhesive behind
