I have been carrying a pocket knife, every day, since 1972. And a Leatherman since 1999-2000. You never know when it might be needed.

pretty much everyday for scews, shaving away wood for repairs, cutting an apple, opening taped packages, whittling, prying, picking your teeth😊

@@PlutonifyIf it's a cheaper one then yeah I usually don't use those. I recently got a leatherman signal that has the exposed pocket knife, and there has barely been a day at work where I haven't needed it. I just recently lost it somewhere and there have been so many situations where I've needed it but instead I had to go find a screwdriver or a pair of pliers instead. Once you start to use it you'll realize how convenient they really are.

I like Spyderco knives because of the incredible point on the tip. I doubt that rounded thing could replace a pm2.

I now usually carry a small bowie knife from mossy oak and a folding knife from need foss that has a blade length of 4". I forgot the overall size from the blade tip to the bottom of the handle.

@@CatsVsCapitalismI carried one of those "credit card" multi tools in my backpack during high school and it's not really conspicuous. It was pretty convenient for some projects and other stuff.

I carried a pocket knife at school from 3rd grade...never knew it could be a weapon. Fun fact: almost got sent home from a scout camp cause 8 year old and a hatchet...that my dad gave me 2 years earlier.

That sucks, my scout camp would have at worst put it in the hands of my scout master to hold onto until we used it. Scout camp is the appropriate place to bring a hatchet, maybe not cub scouts but boy scouts

For daily carry I have sog key knife it open boxes etc. any thing more than that's falls in category of self defense/ survival etc. for that purpose I carry sog snarl and kabar TDI. Beyond that's ..sky is limit.

The reason is simple. There is simply no need for you to NOT carry a pocket knife. A knife will always be useful as a tool for solving everyday problems, for saving your own life, etc.

No they are really expensive. USA made or not, I wouldn't pay $90 for a knife that's smaller than my finger. Get a buck 110. Double the size, USA made, forever warranty, and about $20 less.
