i feel like dandys world is definitley inspired by minus elevation in many ways, but personally i dont think its a carbon copy. both are unique games in their own right and have very similar aspects

for anyone complaining about the monsters oneshotting you for a fun fact they do not have ranged attacks (or they do but they instead apply injured debuff which lowers your max stam), you can claim unlimited items and the gameplay isnt as tiring as dw

I play both dandys world and minus elevation, but personally I like minus elevation better because theres one elevator, meaning you get what you get, there are helpful people all over the game, no bullies, no discrimination against noobs, you could name alot more, but dandys world, pros discriminate againsts noobs, pros sometimes lure twisteds to noobs to get them killed, so many more issues, WAY too many hackers, pedo co-dev. I could name alot more but I dont have time, so that was my thoughts of minus elevation vs dandys world. Edit: Rox got fired yayyy!!!

Both ME and DW r NOT copies dandy's world only has 1 twisted who can 1 shot (T. Dandy) while minus elevation there is so many enemies who 1 shot In DW there is many toon/character that have abilites and interactions while in ME there are no characters with no abilities or even any interactions Both games use elevators to descend but ME uses buttons which is easy but DW they use machines which we have to be careful while doing the machines and looking at our back at the same time DW doesn't have much twisteds who give debuffs but... ME has so many enemies who give debuffs

This comment makes me feel like you haven't played/researched ME enough. Every ME enemy one shots because they want it to be hard. Like doors, they want you to learn the game by dying. Minus elevation doesn't give you abilities through a character but it gives you them by equipping items and plushies as well as finding stuff on every floor that can be crafted into late game items. I know the machines are slightly more complex but to me they seem boring. Even though the buttons are simple, there's way more of them per level and, ME simply wouldn't work with machines because at some point, the enemies become as fast as you and even faster. Many of the ME enemies give debuffs because like I said earlier, they want the game to be difficult. There's also items you get later on to help you clear these debuffs. I understand the flaws with ME like them not having a basic tutorial but overall, I think it's a better game with more variety than DW. I think a good way to resolve the issues between both communities would be for the DW devs to put "Inspired by Minus Elevation" in the description of their game. An example of this working is when Pressure put what games they were inspired by in their description in turn, boosting the popularity of themselves and the other games.

tbf they may have differences in mechanics BUT the gameplay design is exact same you survive monsters, collect items from the ground, power up elevators and upgrades in elevator and a lot, lot more they may not be a copy but the heavy inspiration here is TOO MUCH to say dw did not inspire me (despite the mods saying it didnt copy me but inspired by batim idv dbd)

It’s a copy due to it copying almost all of the ideas the game has. Sure dandy’s world adds a few twists to it, but people are enraged because they don’t credit it even though they copied most of it, I believe there is a KZbinr called Adamduck who provides the evidence that the devs saying they didn’t know about minus elevation even though they did play it and copied it.
