I agree with you amigo. I'm loving my combo. Any errors I've had are user, elements or random stuff. Nothing I could really blame on the machine. The slicer has improved markedly and I agree connection issues seem to pop up. But not a deal breaker for me. Digging the vids. Keep them coming!

Here is the my thoughts since i got it: It works well, but the only concerning thing is the extruder, if the filament breaks where the gears are, it's impossible to switch filament, it doesn't want to go strait and you're for a 30 minutes headache when skilled with 3d printers (got to do it without going to the wiki), and dismount like 75% of the head (you need to free it from the gantry as it's impossible to do it on the gantry). It works well with TPU (like too well when using their 3d photo finish preset on their slicer) the other concerning stuf is the filament funnel that causes some problems when loading filament, it would be a good thing if they added a passthrought block for when it's sold without the ACE or for when you use it for TPU or with only one spool (we can print the printables id 994862 to have a short receiver with only one PTFE tube input) to get rid of the problem , since we can swap it easily with only two screws
@Scratch3DPrintingАй бұрын
Yeah I did once it filament stuck in there but I got it out. You just need to remove the front cover of the print head, then remove the nozzle block to get access to the stuck filament inside.

That large print is really nice! I think you are on the right track with your channel, but a bit of advice if you don't mind. I would recommend adding B-roll and/or images to your video while you are talking. Ideally it would be videos and pictures you have taken, but even product images from the internet or videos by brands for brief periods would work well. Overall, it should increase your engagement a lot as people are more likely to watch than when it is just a talking head. Good luck!

People say just about EVRY printer 'sucks'. Most of them are new or 'newish' to printing and don't know what to do when things aren't perfect. Heat soak the bed and hotend for like 20 min before leveling. I also do a heat soak before printing and it's working great. Just a slight tweak to Z when the skirt prints and it's perfect. The finish is easily the best I've had. Probably because it's my first printer with input shaping.

well, you got lucky my friend, i've the kobra 3 combo as same time as you, i've comment with you about that on a prior video, and the problems keep appearing, changed nozzle, x motor, belt, y rod, now is the ACE making problems, disconnecting randomly and making the nozzle clog, so or you get very very lucky or maybe there is a reason why people mention about the quality of the product and results.

I've had network issues with this printer with AnycubicSlicer Next not showing the print preparation options such as leveling, input shaping, time lapse, and AI Detection but the printer itself works great. Definitely an upgrade from the Ender 3 V3 SE. I do have adhesion issues with small models or articulated models on the stock PEI sheet. Switching to the gold PEI sheet once it arrives this weekend to see if results improve.

I am curious if the network issues are an Anycubic problem because the flashforge version of Orca does the same thing.

I got one of the first batches and I’ve had a bunch of issues. Anycubic has been great with support and sending free parts but I don’t have the time to fiddle so much. Especially when the bed leveling seems to reset every time you turn it off and manual bed leveling sucks so much compared to other printers. Looking to sell mine and save for a Bambu labs printer.

I had problems with my cobra 3. I'm 3d printing for 6 years now. The quality of printing is great but it had problems. My first nozzle had a production error and wasn't printing right. It was replaced and this solved the first problem. After drilling the first nozzle to 0.5mm it also worked perfect. After several flawless prints the filament detector sensor failed and I had to replace it. Know I hope that it won't brake again...

In this case I dont agree with you, the black piece shows that the ender needs maitenance (maybe just a new noozle), this result is quite common when you have a damaged nozzle, I also have a Ender and a Kobra 3, and of course I can assure that the Kobra 3 is much better but not in the field you are refering, but for example we can say that is superior in: speed, lan connection, mobile app, the multicolorness, the camera (not included but is very cheap in the official store, this is the first thing I purchased for my printer), the touch and full color screen (I love the kobra 3 screen), the fact that the ace pro is ALSO a Dryer and maybe I am forgetting 2 o 3 features more that I love.
@Scratch3DPrinting4 күн бұрын
That could be the case, but as of now the ender 3 v3 is still printing fine, layers are good, no problems. It's just that it cannot print as high of an angle as the kobra 3. The kobra 3 combo is a good setup at a good price.

I really like my printer. And also have the first layer issue, after that everything is ok, like others. Yeah, the first layer never come uniform, and that is almost ok. But after the update happened this: The printer clean itself, and the temperature goes from 170 to 140 and a little bit of plastics stays on the tip, then the printer take the center measurement and the z offset changes by itself with taking the plastic height as the new z offset and it finished print the first layer on the air. That is my only problem, but it is frustrating wait to the brim and adjust the z offset quickly on every print.
@Scratch3DPrintingАй бұрын
Yeah each printer has its own fault. There's no 3d printer that can print first layer 100% perfect all the time.
@rockels_journalsАй бұрын
It might also be hardware specific. I had returned 2 Bambu Lab P1S now. The first unit had great first layers (but was arrived with factory damage) The second unit seemed to have a problem on the z-axis and it's first layers sometimes were a hit or a mis compared to the first unit. So sometimes you even have to be lucky with the batch you got. And even at brands like Bambu Lab, quality control seems to be pretty bad. And you pay a lot more for those...

My personal experience with the Kobra 3 combo as someone who owned quite a few 3D printers already is that it's an incredibly unreliable printer. When it prints, it prints really well and it can achieve stellar quality, just as good as my previous Creality K1 Max, but you never know when you're gonna get a finished print. For the very first week I got 2 successful printers and almost two filament spools wasted. The first layer would never stick, then when it sticked the filament was breaking inside the ACE and then eventually I god a combination of firmware and slicer that worked. It was by far the worse initial experience I had with any printer in my 7 years 3D printing. Now that everything is sorted out, I still don't feel I can trust the printer. Sometimes it just gets feeding errors only to then resume as if nothing happened. Sometimes it says it's clogged but it's not. Eventually it throws me errors when calibrating the bed, but then I try again and it works. Then out of nowhere I get a few flawless days with amazing prints. I honestly believe most of its issues are fixable by firmware so I hope to see this printer being as good as it is in your experience, whenever I get a finished printer I'm amazed by the quality it can achieve.

Your videos are very informative. Good job. Kobra 3 is a solid printer. In my case everything works fine, except the bed leveling (abl w. LeviQ). And i dont mean the offset. Thats not the problem. Bcause the OS is not open, i cant really figure out, why the compensation with an abl dont work. I am not able to print big objects on the full size bed. Thats a no-go in the year 2024. My another old 3d printer from 2018 works excelent with a blTouch (upgraded by myself). It compensates an uneven bed perfectly. With a perfect 1st layer. If you can, it would be great to see, how.your printer prints afull size bed 1st layer. Or did i miss it...?

Yeah sometimes many 3d printer have problem doing the first layer on the full bed. Mine works, I show it in my review of the kobra 3 that I made like 3 months ago. It printed the first layer, the best I have seen from my 3d printers.

I have the Kobra 3 combo, and I’ve made some very good prints in good print times. However, it has been a headache, I always have a hardware issue with it and I have to take it to technical service. This week it definitely stopped working; the temperature shows over 700 degrees Celsius with the hotend completely cold, and the print head does not perform any action. If I press the button to perform homing, the printer does nothing. I will share a video and I’ll see how to tag you so you can see it, but I must say that what I have been able to print has a very good finish
@Scratch3DPrintingАй бұрын
That's great to hear. It's sad that you gotten a bad kobra 3, usually is the temperature showing 700c and it's not heating up then you got a bad thermistor sensor, and need a replace hotend. If it's not homing then the whole print head has gone bad. If you just got the 3d printer then maybe contact Anycubic and see if they can do anything. Good luck!
