Why Are Some Low Levels Like This? | Red Dead Online

I started RDO a month ago with three friends. I'm level 67, one friend is about the same, the other two are around level 15. We just want to play quietly in our corner. People have already come looking for war two or three times, but generally nothing serious. It remains quite rare. What is very common, however, is to see solo players showing signs of distrust when we arrive :(. We feel that they fear being attacked as soon as they see someone, and I find that sad, while we are more likely to give help when we can. We don't attack others without reason (and we DON'T TOUCH THE HORSES >_

Yuh I understand. I've actually had some genuine fun hanging around low levels so Ik they aren't all bad. Although some are unhinged 😂 I don't take any offense to it cause they're new to the game, but at the end of the day it's just a game. Have fun however u choose to.

Online isn't that bad when it comes to griefing. Just gotta steer clear of the major towns. But yuh rockstar definitely did RDO unnecessarily dirty, by far it's better than GTAO by a long shot when it comes to mechanics and environment.

@@Project199x Agreed! Mainly what I refer to when I mention all that we have had to endure is: something screws up after they download a new role. Anytime there may be a fun glitch....R* patches that shit immediately. Changing the amount gold we receive for the daily challenges, no real DLC of substance (online OR story mode) and on and on. And then, THEN all but come out and say that they are done supporting the online mode. I mean GAWD DAYMN!!!!! Red Dead Revolver was fun, RDR was AMAZING as well as Undead Nightmare (back when they cared about the fans) RDR2 story was PHENOMENAL. And this, is what we are left with. We Red Dead fans deserve better!! Thank God for people like you, who make this kind of content that is fun as hell to watch, and informative!! You, and the community, are all we have to cling to, but at least it shows us that somebody still cares! 😅 Keep up the good work man, much success.

I just started playing a week ago and I love the game and its community: especially as someone who used to play GTA as a grinder and (tried) roleplayer. I usually avoid PvP which is why I love that RDO has defensive mode. I've come across at least 90 different players and I only died 3 times to players... first was me being forced to go into Valentine for a bounty mission, but unexpectedly enough it wasn't a griefing, and was actually my fault as I got in the way of their horse and judging from their speed they wouldn't have missed me: AND I heard "Sorry!" in voice chat so I didn't press charges even though I could have. the next 2 were a fellow low level: after the mission "on the right side of the tracks" i went to the nearby train station and forgot story missions disable defensive mode. Next thing I know my horse falls over and I got shot. I went to revive my horse to get shot again. Turned on defensive and dude vanished like the wind. THEN my horse was glitched I think as it took 4 of my 5 horse revival tonics before I could mount up because he kept falling back down after the first 3. I was expecting to dislike RDO because I expected it to be like GTAO but I was wrong and I've become hooked on RDO. Also... #SaveRedDeadOnline

The RDO community as a whole is definitely more kinder than GTAO. I used to play GTAO everyday but it became intolerable imo, but yes, people grief on RDO but it really isn't that bad tbh.

Unfortunately if u are playing in public lobbies, you're bound to get messed with regardless of rank. You probably will decrease your chances of getting bothered by playing on defensive, since a lot of people don't like to free aim.

I have came across a lot of players who after I hit them 1 or 2 times they stay still and then are invincible. Every shot has no hit markers. Another one I have witnessed recently is players who once you aim at them they warp around.

I don't know either, I'm lvl 67 had 2 ppl join me turns out they were brothers. Anyway we're are doing bounties for the 2X $$$, Gold & XP around Annesburg and found out quickly they were young. Delivered the body and lil dude says I'm gonna go shoot this guy, meanwhile other player is lvl 489 and I dip over to tumbleweed ends up Lil dude can't get to fast travel says I'm leaving. You can hear him crying and pleading w/ this other player to stop so he can get to us. I end uo having to tell him again going to tumbleweed the dude follows him continues to murder him. Still crying and finally the guy leaves.... But no he comes back for all of us. I'm explaining to the Lil dude THATS WHY YOU DONT FOOL WITH HIGHER LEVEL PLAYERS. I have a group of guys I play with now that vet you before joining them. Its great they've passed the jeanroki map to me. So yes starting shit then crying over it is childish. I try and help everyone regardless. But with this post I'm sure your trying to make is Simple as it can be Don't mess around and find out.

Pvp takes time. I suggest running in defensive mode until u really can get yourself acclimated with better guns and ability card load outs. If you want to build up your health quickly do call to arms with bow & arrow.

@@Project199x I think that’s the amazing part we disbanded ran in all directions in defensive but we still were getting sniped our goal was really to do bounty’s. Then we just switched to hunting because after two lobbies we got tied of getting ganged up on a group of two w better stuff.

shit a level 55 can definitely destroy a rank 800, if you have the necessary skills. You're at a rank where you can purchase the carcano, and i think you have access to express rounds as well. I started a new character and was trolling high levels with it, as long as they don't have slow & steady on you should be good.

@@kejbyy2505 yuh the rolling block packs a punch but the fire rate is slow. And if you're new new u definitely have a ways to go in the pvp world cause people can rapid fire the carcano while infinitely drink tonics and what not. It's layers and a learning curve
