I've been watching your videos and they are great and very welcomed! I'll be moving my family to the Fort Worth area this summer as a transfer for work. I've been going back and forth for work already and checking out different areas. I have to say, every place I've gone to from work, stores, restaurants, hotels, etc... I've noticed such a genuine niceness from people. My fear is, I'll be bringing a high schooler with me and I don't know how the kids will be with her once they know she's from California. If the kids there are any reflection of the people I've already met she'll be just fine! You just know how kids can be though. With that being said, I have noticed that when I've spoken to young adults in stores or restaurants, they almost always address me as Sir. It's really heart warming as that is how we've raised our children and you don't get a lot of that in California. Well regardless, we're pretty excited about the move and what ever God has in store for us because we know it's all in His hands! Oh yes, we are conservative! Imagine that, conservatives from California! 😊 Keep up the great videos!

Thanks so much Mr Bridge. It's a blessing to hear our videos are informative and helpful. There are a lot of factors to consider when relocating especially with kids and such. My one recommendation for you is to contact Leah Gilligan on our team. She is a Fort Worth Buyer Specialist and is fantastic at what she does. She will be able to answer any questions you have about Fort Worth and the surrounding areas. Email her leah@toddtramonte.com or call/text her 817-507-8420. Hope that helps!

while there are "good" liberals, the problem is a hard core strain of Leftists that is pushing them into the ether, replacing them by design so you have a new unrecognizable party: the classic example is AOC in NYC replacing a long term Dem and spending party funds to fight and defeat other moderate Dems to be replaced with communists ala ilhan omar, rashida tlaib, kshama sawant. This model is intended for the rest of the country, incl. and especially Texas starting with the cities which as you can see are all now Blue. I've been here in seattle since forever (note that for ex. WA the only state that banned fishing), and I believe you are downplaying very real fears of real people. Trust me, those fears are FULLY justified. There's a bill governor jay inslee signed in the last month that I would be uncomfortable fully describing on your section (grade school children sex ed curriculum). He did it with overwhelming opposition as he does every bad bill: like obama, WE WON so sit down and shut up. No income tax is in our constitution, but he did the family med. leave act which is a tax on a percentage of your income. Forced to fund mass transit. Building light trains that no one rides. etc.

the biggest issue i have with people moving here is that some of the people that are coming here from California and other liberal states say that they left because everything was too expensive or that the area was becoming a bad place to live in general. Then they proceed to vote in the same type of people and policies that ruined that place where they came from. And I'm not saying that this applies to everyone. but it does apply to enough of them for us Texans to notice that our state is turning blue.

I don't think that hostility is good, but I think there is a healthy concern of having people vote in the same laws that made their home states bad. Remember, people used to go to California to become rich. Now they leave it to not be poor. I would love everyone to move to Texas, but I would not be surprised if an influx could make it start to go south 30-40-50 years down the road like happened with California. Cali used to be incredible in the 60s-70s. Not. anymore. Edit: I made a video on becoming rich from moving to texas. Feel free to check it out!

Here is your HONEST answer. This negative opinion on new comers is not only on youtube, this is the thought of many who live here. Think about it, since ppl have been frequently moving here in the past 4 years the housing prices are going up, there is a serious problem with the yearly increase in taxes ( your mortgage is guaranteed to go up yearly) they are cutting trees and building apartments/houses (enjoy looking out your window and into your neighbors, that is how close they are building) everywhere which is affecting the climate and wildlife (let's talk about how aggressive the coyotes are), it is becoming overly congested in the metroplex. The hometown feel and friendliness is going away. No one in Dallas speaks anymore, no one is welcomeing, helpful or kind. With the influx of more people Texas is changing, it has changed tremendously since I moved here. That is the thing that people are angry about. You have this beautiful haven but with the influx of people it will not be a beautiful haven anymore. Sometimes it's better to keep our things to ourselves.(I know that doesn't benifit your pocket, hence the videos) I am not an original Texan; I actually moved here but after living here for years and speaking with many unhappy Texans, I get and understand the uneasiness/anger completely.
@Sol36900
@Sol36900 3 жыл бұрын
The cutting trees rings loud with truth. I live in the DFW area, specifically a suburban city that used to be part city part country. There used to be so much wooded areas and grasslands. There was a plot of land in the middle of the city where a huge field of blue bonnets would bloom every spring. People would stop by to take photos. Now a Walmart is built over it. So many beautiful fields have been sold and built over with restaurants and apartments in place. At one point, a company tried to convert the largest park in the city into an apartment complex but the people voted against it. So many natural beauties are gradually being replaced with concrete jungles.

I too was not born in TX but moved here at 11 almost 18 years ago. I remember Texas people being so inviting and friendly at that time. The roads was not as bad and cost of living was a lot cheaper. I lived in a neighborhood where my mom would accidentally leave her car doors unlocked money in the cup holder and everything. We'd wake up the next day nothing was touched. Some times even fall asleep with the front door unlocked. My take is simply this, people move here from other places and bring their attitudes and way of living with them. They complain about how TEXAS is not like home and Texas laws, but still move here and don't ever contribute or give back to the community. Not to mention the crimes are outrageous. They are robbing and taking peoples hard earned money in broad day light. I'm not saying the crimes are from transplants but the more people move here the heavier it grows. I'm not from here but grew here. I fell in love with everything about the state of Texas as a young girl. I acknowledged the culture and the opportunities that Texas had to offer. My family never attempted to change or manipulate the Texas way. We moved here loved the way of life and blended with the locals. I love Texas and would pick this state over mines any day! Please, don't change Texas.

I don't like when people say there is open aggression in Texas towards people trying to move here. People here are very kind and helpful and you won't be attacked in any way for having a "difference in beliefs". The problem here stems from those who come here and try to enforce their beliefs on others. For example... I am Texas born and raised and my beliefs are conservative but, I live in San Antonio a city which seems to be getting more liberal by the day. In school, I heard many teachers praising democrats and brushing off republican beliefs. This was elementary school so, I had no idea what political affiliation was. I went home had a talk with my parents, they taught me what it meant to be a Republican/Democrat and conservative/liberal. I went back to school and during our mock election I heard many teachers telling their students that republicans don't care about the environment and that they were judgmental, to the point that just about every student was saying they were gonna vote Democratic. (The severe differences between what the teachers and my parents said shocked and scared me and I ended up not voting) Fast forward to the times I was in high school Hillary's name rang through the halls and I was labeled a "hater" and a "homophobe" for my beliefs. People openly ridiculed me and I... lost friends. It amazed me that this was happening that, many students were too scared or embarrassed to say they were Republican. I heard it over and over again how all republicans were intolerant but, their behavior was the very model of intolerance that they would accuse me of. I never ridiculed a person for their beliefs or sexual/political/cultural differences I either kept my distance or asked what, why, and how they came to believe ___ (fill in the blank) Having gone through this I understand why many Texans are opposed to others moving in. So, again, the problem isn't outsiders it's the values they want to impose. We Texans are proud of our state and all we're trying to do is defend it and the values that we hold dear. Texans have alot of patience, I mean, I've never heard or seen a Republican go off on a Democrat. But there is a reason for the saying "Don't Mess With Texas" just remember that if you want to move here and don't mess with a Texans bottom line, that is, our families, our faith, and our political standing as a state.
@jameswallace9906
@jameswallace9906 3 жыл бұрын
You don’t know the real reason at all. You are speculating about it and have asked no one about why they don’t want people form liberal states moving here. Your simply mocking them. You are not addressing the political concerns and fears Texans have regarding Texas culture and it’s future. If the shoe was on the other foot. And say millions of Texans moves to liberal state and carried enough voter weight causing significant changes in the political structure the left hold dear, the people of those states would express great concern. Based on recent events the conservatives in this scenario would most likely face physical retaliation as a result. I welcome you coming to Texas. Also I don’t pretend to speak on others behalf. I just wanna ask that if you come here please acknowledge what has made Texas different vs were you came from and respect that deference.

Tbh the problem is that a good amount (not all ofc) of the people from other states aren't really assimilating. If that large minority of the people that moved here from California and other states assimilated quite well there would be much of a problem or any fears of our culture being fundamentally changed and the problems of places like California spreading here.

I'm moving from Wisconsin down to Texas in a little over a year because I align with Texas values and ideas far more then Wisconsin and the fact is Wisconsin weather sucks, especially in winter. Also Wisconsin is going to eventually turn into Minneapolis and Chicago and I don't want anything to do with that. I do however completely understand why Texans feel the way that they do about people moving to their state so for people moving there either assimilate to Texans values and culture or don't move to Texas.

Washington, Oregon, and California are on the decline. I moved to Washington when I was 3 and I’m moving back now at the age of 35. My family and I love the feel of Texas... From the weather to the culture. While we were visiting we were taken back at the small things like people holding the doors for us and just simply having small talk with us. Aside from the tornadoes, the crazy drivers, and hail storm... We love Texas and would be worried too about people ruining what you guys got going on. We aren’t moving to Texas to try to change anything, we are moving because we love what you guys got going on.

I'm not Texan, but I don't see anything wrong with Texans not wanting leftists (aka "socialists" according to Bernie's own words) to move to Texas if leftists/socialists are going to seek to make Texas more leftist/socialist: 1. This isn't being "inhospitable" or "unwelcoming". Rather this is cherishing one's own values. It'd be like Americans saying we don't want monarchists (to pick a random example) moving to the US if monarchists are going to seek to make the US into a monarchy. That's because seeking to make America into a monarchy would undermine what America is all about. Likewise there's nothing wrong with Texans not wanting leftists/socialists to move to Texas if leftists/socialists are going to seek to undermine the values that Texans believe have made Texas the great state that it is. Again, that's not being "inhospitable", but cherishing and protecting one's own values. Otherwise, if one makes Texas into a leftist/socialist state, then that will undermine what Texas is all about. 2. What's more, hospitality is one thing, but gratitude is another. A person can be hospitable by inviting others into their home, while people invited into another person's home should be grateful for being invited in return. Suppose I welcome someone into my home, but then the person immediately starts to tell me how to run my home, what to do, what not to do, and so on. That wouldn't be very grateful of the person, to say the least! Likewise, if I move to Texas, I'm moving to Texas because I value Texas as Texas, and I'd be thankful to Texans for welcoming me into their state. Yet leftists/socialists who move to Texas in order to try to make the other state into a leftist/socialist state aren't appreciative of the state. This is what Texans are pushing back against, and there's nothing wrong with Texans doing so. Or the very least a leftist/socialist could do is move to and stay in the People's Republic of Austin. ;)

I’m actually a Georgian and we get people from California New York move here all the time let me clear some things up here and say that from my perspective as a Georgian it’s not that we don’t want people from those areas moving here it’s the fact of that they have a Tendency being from those states do not respect our culture our customs and they are just running from high taxes but they will vote for the same things that they’re fleeing from and turn our state into their state and the issue with that is then property taxes are going to start to go up and it’s going to cause our senior citizens and our retirees to become homeless we have no problem with anyone that wants to assimilate into our state and our culture to move here but we ask that they don’t vote for the same policies that they’re fleeing from. Because we do not want liberal policies bureaucracies over inflated government and high taxes in our state we want to keep the cost of living affordable for everyone that would Drive the locals out or make them become homeless at home values skyrocketed to $600,000 like you see in California or New York the average person around here simply would not even be able to afford to live and I talk to some Texans that feel the same way it’s not that you’re from a different state we get it that you’re looking for a better place but we ask that you help keep our area affordable and livable and sustainable for everyone thank you

Really just just really. People left those states and came to Texas BECAUSE IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE TO LIVE THERE! This happened because of higher taxes which is typically a left wing value. So then they come here, vote blue, and raise prices again! So they basically ruined Texas. (Also wtf does being told we have to change do with anything?) If you don’t listen to anything else I say at least listen to this. Whatever representation of Texas or Florida or New York you see on the news isn’t actually what it’s like there.

We welcome people in Texas, however, most of these people bring their “cancel culture” with them. Come to Texas, live your life, but don’t expect to come here and change our culture and beliefs. Texans are always accused of being overly proud of Texas. There is no such thing. You are leaving your state for a reason, and moving to Texas for a reason. Would you invite a guest into your home just to have them change everything in your house and start telling you how to live your life? Yeah, well we won’t tolerate it either.

Because people from California do not share anything in common with Texans and are hell bent on changing us into something more like what they came from, people from Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia etc, are culturally similar as they are fellow southerners and we identify with them more as well as having many who have family in those states. You will never hear a person from the Deep South complain about Texas food, or Texas culture, or the accent Texans have (which is slowly becoming extinct due to the influx of out of staters). Californians drive up our housing prices and make it impossible for native Texans to move anywhere and I know this from personal experience. Californians complain endlessly about how backward we Texans are and how hard it is to understand us, and how the food isn’t as good, etc. etc.
