Hi Alex, I watched your video the other day with Ralph, and you mentioned that the people in Da Nang aren't that friendly compared to Saigon. Actually, I think it's because of the language barrier. If you speak a little Vietnamese and initiate the conversation, they would definitely be friendlier.

We've not even been to Hanoi for 24 hours and my daughter got food poisoning from the airplane food and when we were trying to negotiate our way to our accomodation, my daughter was throwing up into a bag in the street and 3 women came up all trying to help, give her paper to wipe her mouth, pat her on the back then one lady insisted on giving her a motorbike ride to the BnB. Such friendly, lovely people!

I'm sorry to hear that. In 2014, I had food poisoning in Bangkok during my 2nd week abroad. I learned to get plenty of fluids in whenever it happened and try to make the best of the situation. Hope she feels better!

I left Saigon back in 1975 and was only 8 years old at that time. Can you please visit Turtle lake , I used to go fishing there almost everyday as a kid. Used to walk about 4 blocks to get there. my friends and wife are Vietnamese for about 20 years. I speak Vietnamese but I still have problem understanding. Next time I go Vietnam I will try look you up. I like watching your videos. Americans can not understand Vietnam even young Vietnamese don't know Vietnam. Cho
