Great video! I enjoyed watching it but I strongly disagree with the point being made here. New experiences are abudant in the world. Take books for exemple, even if you read books from many different genres you didn't experience it all. Every good writter has its own way of writing, of presenting a world, ideas, different characters with unique personalities. Food? Same thing : even after 31 years on this earth I still discover new restaurants every year. Video game? Same, I keep getting blown away by very good games being made every year. I also decided to learn how to draw and an amazingly complex world has opened itself to me, so vast that I'll never have enough time in my life to explore it all. The world is big enough to be amazed during our whole life. If it doesn't feel that way, it's our mindset that needs to change. The first step to have new experiences is to seek them out with an open mind.

I completely agree, we do need to change our mindsets, that's the point of the video :) I agree with what you're saying about novelty, but I think our definitions of "new" are different. What I'm talking about is more of a childlike fascination of discovering how the world works, and how that disappears with age. Kind of like riding a roller coaster for the first time. Yes it's fun and there are always big new roller coasters that can take it to the next level, but again it's just a "remix" of something you've already tried before. So even if you can constantly find a crazier and more exciting roller coaster, the subjective experience of that first great one you rode can becomes harder and harder to replicate. Does that make sense? That's why I suggest that if you're experiencing this kind of 'jadedness' with life, you should try to change in your mindset by finding your life's fulfilment in different ways instead of giving up altogether.
