@@pixiel1xie the keyword here is internationally. They're selling almost as much as gfriend which is saying quite a lot, their sales aren't bad. They just haven't had their first win yet. And about views, the numbers are important but they're not everything. Popularity is not equal to views. Take red velvet for an example. They're one of the big three gg yet their views aren't as explosive as, say, blackpink. And that's okay 😊

taehyung is a baby boy I don’t know what sources you used, but please throw them out lmao. GFRIEND sells like 100k per album and charts, DC sells 30k and doesn’t chart. Views aren’t everything, of course, but when nothing else is exploding then realistically they’re not getting the attention they deserve. The reality is the world isn’t perfect and good people don’t always get what they deserve. I’m just grateful they have a stable fanbase for touring and they seem happy.

The reality here is that their style of music simply is very popular in Korea. Throw in the fact that most (if not all) of the awards are based primarily on Korean album sales and charts, our girls aren't likely to win many, if any, awards. Not to mention that competition this season is CRAZY. Streaming their videos might help a little bit, but not much if the sales and charts aren't there to help. By all means, go ahead and do it if you want, but don't be too surprised when they don't get the awards. The best way to support Dreamcatcher is to do it financially. Buy the album. If you can't afford the album, pay for and download a single or two. Go ahead and stream their music video too, if you want, but do it the right way that ensures that they can get what little revenue they can from it (i.e. run it to the end every time, don't play one song on a continuous loop, mix it up so you don't trigger a freeze, stream the MV on their official channel etc). There's even a website out there (or forget the name, use google) that lets you vote to have DC perform a concert in your area. In short, worry less about the piece of plastic. Let's throw some money at our girls. I don't mean to be a downer here. I'm just trying to keep it real. I'd LOVE to see Dreamcatcher get a win but it's a huge uphill battle and I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment if they lose.

You have to see the Scream dance practice. It's like another MV, seriously. As for the meaning... Based on the starting message, the information walls, and the name of the album (Dystopia: The Tree of Language), I guess it might be about internet culture. And trolls. "even if everyone throws stones at me, cannot escape", "a sharp word like a blade"... and Gahyeon's rap sequence is totally about anonymous antis. I don't understand everything yet, not nearly, but a lot of things in the MV seem to be a magical metaphor for internety things.

so a little old school k-pop knowledge: Dami's voice heavily reminds me of J'Da's voice from EVOL. EVOL were a short lived k-pop girl group that debuted in 2012 but due to poor management (a terrible company) they disbanded a few years later. J'Da was the maknae and if I'm not mistaken at the time of their debut, she was 15ish? Her voice was DEEP. Please check them out, even if it's on your own time. That is the last time I have heard a female rappers voice in k-pop being THAT deep. Not Moonbyul deep, but like Jesus I need help deep.

Handong is in China doing a Produce 101-like Chinese survival show. If she were to make it in, it would in theory be great exposure for Dreamcatcher and Happyface. That said, depending on the contract, if she were to make it, it would unfortunately likely mean she would not be able to promote with Dreamcatcher, and we're stuck with a 6-member group. Business decisions make me sad :(
