I don't know if this is a legit subject. But could you guys make a video on why you look good in the mirror but tend to look worse in pictures. I can't be the only one who notices that lol

In the youtube video titled "Dr. Jim's Chemistry Magic Show", Dr. Jim says it is because the silver backing on mirrors reflects more light from the red end of the spectrum than the blue, making your skin look more pinkish and healthy than it really is. He also claims this is demand driven since a hypothetical buyer would prefer to buy the mirror they look better in. Sorry I don't know where this is in the video or even what part, but there you go.

***** Haa. You're as bad at reading between the lines as I am. As far as I know the lasers burn away pigmentation so I think they make the eyes blue, but I'm not sure. If nothing else I'm sure we'll see cosmetic surgery for eyecolours pop up soon enough. Personally, I rather like brown eyes. Brown and green's my favourites, so naturally I was born in Scandinavia where most people (including myself) have blue eyes.

I've hazel greenish eyes, and used to wear dark circles on the daily basis (because it's rare from where I come from, any rarity would attract people attention, I hate an exposure to any human attention). About eyes color, The temperature of our environments would affect much on them, the hotter it's, the darker our eyes would be. In the next decade when our earths hotter, black eyes would be the most normal eyes that ever a person had. In the next 100 years, As a species we would back to our origin form, darker hair, darker skin, darker eyes. Such a cyclic life.

This is so weird.. I was born with both blue eyes. And without warning, one day when I was two i woke up and my left eye was brown.. A few years ago my right eye changed to green. It's just weird because no one in my family has anything like this

I was also born with blue eyes as well. A couple years ago they changed to green though. But as soon as I turned 10, one eye turned hazel and the other turned into this really light blue-green grey colour. It's called heterochromia. But it's not just eyes that make people have it. If someone has a lock of hair that's a different colour of the rest (naturally, not artificial) its also heterochromia.

Dan Balkwill everyone is actually born with blue eyes, but for most they change quickly or slowly later in life. And for most their eye color will change before they can even open their eyes. And saying that only Caucasians have blue eyes seems ignorant because they aren’t very rare anyway and they can be found in all continents.

Did you know that the majority of Americans that think they have green eyes actually have hazel eyes, and that hazel eyes can change colors by expanding and contracting the cells with different amounts of melanin? This means that a very large portion of humanity has eyes that can shift colors on a whim, but don't know it.

genetics. It happened that our hair turned out a certain way. In some places, even, there have been mutations to those genes which affect hair color that have been significant enough to change it. IE: red heads, blondes. If we had instead evolved from say birds, our hair could have had multiple pigments. But, by chance, we didn't.

If melanosomes or the amount of melanosomes indicate that your eyes will be darker or lighter. Is another factor making abnormal eye color (like purple and yellow)? I've personally noticed (not scientifically, just observationally) that people with blue eyes tend to have more recessed eyes, while people with brown eyes do not. From this observation, I speculate that blue eyes are more sensitive to light which is what has caused them to have more recessed eyes.
